Hi to all those who experienced the Zakfari with Ronnie and Rachel ... it's definitely one of the highlights of our time in Zante.

We travelled on 'Extra Stop' day and our guide was Lee. What a storyteller... just as well we were packing copious amounts of salt... ;o)) Great views, great photo's, hot, dusty and a great day out.

Big Hi from Ronnie & Rachel - we visited this restuarant every night. The food, service, and price was second to none. Especially George who made us very welcome hence the reason we just kept coming back. I'd also like to mention that during our first week, a rival restuarant owner (allegedly) set fire to Athena's in the middle of the night. It took the fire dept 45 mins to get there, by which time the restuarant practically gutted! And guess what folks, the staff there worked solidly day and night and had the restuarant back up and running in 8 days!! There's a lesson to be learnt back here in Blighty!!

By all means, try other eating establishments, but you'll not find better than Athena's - it's simply the best!!

We found it amusing that it was closed the whole two weeks we were there. It must have seemed like a good idea to whoever thought a francise in Tsilivi would please the Bank manager. I'm all for choice but most restuarnats serve 'burgers and chips' so Maccy D's never stood a chance. The fact that they couldn't even be bothered to apply for the required licence speaks for itself it up. Pie and chips anyone?

10 out of 10? Not while we were there... we visited three times! First time felt like they were trying to enter the Guinness Book of Records for quickest bout of indigestion. No sooner had we order drinks, then the starter arrived.. soon as the last mouthful was being swallowed, the main course arrived... as the cutlery was being placed back on the plate... the sweet menu was shoved under our noses - not impressed!

Second time was at Breakfast - we only ordered a bacon buttie and cheese and tomato toastie... and the waiter still got the order wrong.

Third time lucky? Not on your nelly... last morning of the holiday, we paid a final visit for brekkie, there was only us and another couple - took ages for the oder to arrive, then took an absolute age trying to get the bill... and after all that not a single waiter was dressed as the spinach loving, bandy legged, muscular deformed sailor.

What do you mean 'gluttons for punishment'? Forget Popeyes try Athena's

We popped in Basils' for a couple after our meal one evening. Good atmosphere - watched Pater Kay and Big Bruv Finale. There's no escape even in Zante... ;o))

Didn't spot any babes, altho the girlfriend reckons some chick was checking me out... hmmmm dontcha just hate it when that happens? ;o))

We stayed at Magdalenas Studios but never visited the bar, actually yes we did.. once! Just before closing! But sounds like everyone had a good time... we'll have to give it a try next time we're in the vicinity... ;o))
