Although this was my second visit, I made the mistake of taking a room on the bottom row a the back, 402, thye are dark, they do't get any sun and the cupboards are damp. I did inform the receptionist but she wasn't interested, funnily exactly the same response as last year!
However, how much time do you spend in your room??
The pool could have been cleaned more regularly, a bit worried to find a sun bed over a hole in the ground, an attempt at maintaining the pool I think.........................and with a hotel this size a life guard wouldn't go a miss. Also the sun beds are ready to be replaced they are most uncomfortable.
We stayed B & B this time but didn't try thr breakfast so can't comment on that first hand although was told by another guest that a member of staff sits at the side of the food table making sure you don't take too much......great if your on a diet!
Rooms were cleaned every day but Sunday.
The Boat House.....extremely average food, bit over priced for what it was and very disinterested staff, they could make so much more of this restsaurant if they only worked upon their attitude...................And the occasional trip around the pool would be appreciated by the guests, its great to have a cool drink brought to you when your sunbathing.
Yes its noisy but then thats to be expected from a family hotel.
And all the staff could do with customer services training and then applying it.
The Thomas Cook rep was very good, although we didnt book with them this year, as it was significantly cheaper to book via www, (and no queuing outside the airport either!) my son wanted to go on the reps night and he was very helpful.
Its not a bad hotel, location a bit way out, great for a week away but wouldn't book it for my main holiday.
