Sirene (Dollas) Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Stayed at the Sirene between 16th June 2005 and 1st July 2005 in a group of 6 adults and 4 children (baby aged 11 months)
Was a little worried after reading some of the comments on here but on arrival we found all our rooms to be perfectly clean and of a standard you would expect of a self catering holiday in Greece.
The pool and bar area were very clean. Greg and his wife were very helpful and friendly and there was a great atmosphere at the pool.
Although it is a 20 minute walk to the town there are shops, bars and restaurants on the way. Taxis were also very cheap and easy to find.
We werent bothered by the noise from the cockrels although if you were awake you could hear them but they didnt wake you up. The food offered at the hotel was excellent, a nice variety at very reasonable prices. Breakfast for between 1.50 - 6 euros. Lunch snacks form 1.50 for chips. We never actually stayed for an evening meal except for greek night but there is a good selection of meals available.
Would recommend Rainbows and Milos for food .
Although the Sirene is a little out of the town it is still an excellent place to stay and does not deserve the previous comments, a holiday is what you make it and if people want luxury book into a 5 star hotel instead of selfcatering.
