Contessina Hotel - (Accommodation in Tsilivi)

Just came back from first time in Zante and l would recommend the Contessina to anyone and everyone.. The location is brilliant as it is five minutes walk to the beach and based near enough to the main road for access to shops and cafe's!
The hotel itself is brilliant, the ladies on reception are so helpful and speak brilliant english, makes you feel like you are at home :) The pool is brill, tho watch out for the depth as 2.5m is a long way down (as l found out to my cost).. I agree with some of the other comments that you do have to get up pretty early to get a good sunbed, but there are still some left at around 10am so it's no biggy! The breakfast is nothin to shout about, but good ole beans on toast did the trick nicely! The entertainment is not the best, but it depends on what you want from the hol.. Also can get pretty noisy, as we were directly above the bar and it did lead to a few late nites!Outside of the hotel, the quality of food and service in local bars and restaurants is brill..
- Utopia on the corner is brilliant, Vasso and Destan are the best! (Tho l am a lil biased)..
- Sunset next door does a brilliant lunch for a reasonable price, also does a brilliant breakkie!
- Georgio's is based a lil down the road but well worth the trip, service is brill and food is out of this world
-Gelatos does sumptuous desserts (I'd recommended the cool stuff hmmmmmm!)
I really could go on for ages, Romios was the best meal we had and ask the dessert waitress with blonde hair for some chocolate stuff with your ice-cream :)
Tips l would give are get the air-con!! Even tho it is a lil pricy, it is so worth it! The nites get a lil hot and you'll feel the difference.. Also sumthing we picked up was that most places take the same pool tokens, so if you don't finish all your games on one night, you can use them pretty much newhere else (apart from enigma)!
Ive rambled on for ages mainly because the hol was that damn good, you'll enjoy your holiday at the Contessina.. We certainly did
p.s watch out at the airport as it's tiny and you may spend a large chunk of your hol waiting for your bags and then your plane

Only went once to Manos Grill and on first impressions, seemed like a nice lil place with friendly staff and a few welcoming drinks..
The menu was good and we only had a main course (5 in our party) and one drink each, the bill came to 90 Euros.. They had charged us for the wine at the start that they give you and the break which they had kept bringing to the table.. WATCH OUT!The food itself was brilliant and l can't say l wasn't stuffed after it, but l felt a lil cramped and needless to say we didnt return there..

By far the best restaurant in the resort.. We ate here 6 nights out of 14 and everything about the establishment was brilliant!
The service was excellent with a welcoming feel throughout our stay, the food was brilliant (Seafood Pasta was especially nice) and excellent value for money..
I can't say enough about how good Romio's is.. You must eat here!!!!!!!!!!
