we have just returned from 2 weeks at the cavo doro. i have to say that it was a bit dissappointing. the rooms were very basic, with little more than beds and a wardrobe. we were told that the hotel was good for kids and although the bar staff were brill with them, there was nothing in the way of entertainment. the pool was far too deep for the kids, my oldest is 8, and could barely keep her head above water.so the younger two couldnt even go in the water without somebody carrying them. they have computer games in the reception area, but again not suitable for young children. i would say that the cavo doro is not ideal for people with children under 12. on the whole the hotel is clean but very basic, and i would not return while my children are so small.
just returned from 2 weeks at kalamaki, and are very dissappointed. the night life was non existent, unless you class karaoke and bingo as entertainment. there was only one bar on the resort that we enjoyed visiting called the safari bar, they held a halloween party just before we left and the kids were always well looked after there, with a good selection of toys always readily available.
