Didn't go to Castaways until our 4 th night but after a few recommendations we went and it was well worth the wait!
This restaurant looks very fancy but the food was only average.
Would definately recommend this place, food was nice, good cheery atmosphere and Ilias is truly the man that never sleeps-always around 24/7!
To cut a long story short-went there on first night after what I'd mistaken for friendliness from the notorious Peter-wish I hadn't bothered, food was definately not fresh and ice-cream had been re-frozen about 10 times. He whistled in the street to get our attention after we tried to avoid him for the remainder of hols and he resorted to asking us why we hadn't been again to his place(wish I'd have told him his food was terrible) and then why had we gone twice to Castaways and then BEGGED us to come into his restaurant....I politely declined...On last night after eating elsewhere there was NO friendly "hello" or "how are you" as there were on all previous nights but he gruffly barked at my 6 year old daughter and myself asking us had we eaten, when were we going home and when I told him we were going the following morning he moved out of the way, blanked us and let us walk on.
Went here on first night, very nice honest food, good prices and the guy outside with the american accent is a genuinly nice guy-looked after us all night both times we went. The food is cooked very fresh and I even ate swordfish and considering I don't eat fish or seafood it must have been good.
Nice food, nice staff and nice wall paintings..!
Nana's horses-It will break your heart to see the condition of some of those horses.I am also an experienced horse-rider and have worked with horses for many years but even if you're not you cannot fail to notice the way some of them shy away from a human hand as though they are being beaten.
This place was definately average for me.Ok,we went at the end of season and the bar and restaurant wasn't open anymore which is alright because we didn't plan to eat, sleep and swim in the same place all day but the actual room was nothing to write home about.
