For people who like a home away from home but with everything you could possibly want from a holiday close by - the Castelli is for you. Once you've experienced the hospitality that Spiros and Anastasia offer you'll never want to go anywhere else. Laganas main street with its incedible choice of music-bars, restaurants, fast food etc is ony 10 minutes walk away - half an hour walking back at 4 in the morning! If you don't want the hustle and bustle - turn left out the hotel and head up into the hills. The lanes are great for walking or biking. Local village beer is a third of the main street prices. We've been the past four years to the Castelli - FANTASTIC.
By far the best restaurant in Laganas - if you don't fancy a nice walk to get there there's always the taxi. Half English owned - most of the waiters are English, Scottish or Welsh so you don't end up with the wrong gear! Nice size portions - you don't end up so stuffed that you can't enjoy a beer or seven on the way home. RECOMMENDED.
A nice walk from Laganas - the Syrtaki is at the far end of Aghios Sostis - but well worth the effort to find it. Excellent food and service complimented by the waiters doing a Greek dance or two around the restaurant. Get a road side table and watch the sun setting over Marathonisi (Turtle Island) - PERFECT.
Far enough away from Laganas to avoid the noise, close enough if you want it. Nice beach backed by some nice bars and restaurants. Beautiful clear sea with great views. LOVE IT. Going again next year.
