hi all this restaurant is the best in kalamaki in the two weeks we stayed in zante  26th june to 10th july 2006 ,we went back 5 times, service and very freindly, always rememberd us when we were just walking by restaurant by daughters name, beautiful meals each time, quick service with a smile, brill prices well worth a visit, love to george from nicole hes the best!!!!! hope to see u all very soon take care xxx ps george i had my lolly when i got home as u said and thought of you miss zante see u soonxxxx nicole

the apartments and studios are a good 10/15 min walk but  u do get used to it and there are many bars shops on way u can stop, we loved watching the planes so close, we did not have any probs with the aircraft noise and there are no flights because of the turtles at night, we used the hotel vannessa pool direcly across from the apart,ents 2 min walk, absol lovely, and has a great childrens pool with a slide for the kids, this also does a good english breakfast for 3.50 euros which included tea or juice and it kept us going all day, no probs getting a sunbed and as in greece u can u any pool etc for no charge and they always made us welcome, all in all even though i have made little previous moans would love to go back to the athina but would book a studio but we had a brill price with portland, i would def go back the people are so freindly and we made great freinds when staying big hello to u all happy holidays to anyone going hope my comments help

if u do get to go to zante please go on the shipwreck cruise u will not be disappointed, it was absol stunning and the tour takes u all way around island well worth what we paid 42 euros for two children and one child, we never book with reps as they were double this for the same boats!!! we stayed at the athina aparments, i cannot remember the name of the company we booked with but all i can say is if u go up the main kalamaki road past mermaids keep going on this side and past the supermarket i think it is the second travel agency  is an english man he advised us brill as all the other tours were charging further 5  each euros for this trip because u go on boat with swimming pool do not be fooled this pool is a s big as a billiard table and the boat is always full, go on the other boat, made 15 euros cheaper the same coach takes u to both boats right next to each other, we had brill tour spoke all launguages and was not full!!!the shipwreck island is absol stunning though it is really deep and cold so if u have little ones take armbands as water gets deep very quickly, beautiful water best i have seen since barbados, two swimming stops on way long day from 10 until got home about 6.30, lots of snacks and drinks avaliable to buy onboard also as usual was told to be at pickup at 10am but bus did not arrive until 10.30 but thats being  away from rat race

hi just come back rom zante had a lovely time 10th july 2006 wish i was back, beach was ok not best i have been on quite dark but ok but the sea was beautiful excellent for kids as it goes out for ages  before it gets deep lovely and clean water and lots of fish around you so do take bread my daughter spent ages with a net trying to catch one but they are so fast, hardly any waves lovely and calm like sitting in a warm bath, if only i was back there we always stayed by the snack bar just up from the beach, he is absol brill great prices considering how close he is  it was only 1 euro for a slush puppy all in all lovely happy holidays

we went june 26th and came back 10th of july 1st week it was over 40 degrees but after few days u do get used to it and the way of life!!! great thunderstorm on sat with lightening it had not rained for two months but next day was hot again take lots of mostiquo cream etc got bitten lots!!!

JUST READING OTHER COMMENTS WHEN WE WENT EARLY JULY WE HAD AN HOUR AND HALF STAY ON  SHIPWRECK BEACH, ABSOL STUNNING BUT NO SHADE SO TAKE PLENTY OF SUNCREAM, HAVE FUN!!!!WISH I WAS THERE!!

hi if u r going to the athina and staying at  an apartment just to let u know the 1 bedroomed apartments are above the restraunts on the main road so it can be very noisy at night but hey! ur on holiday and after a few drinks and nights u get used to it,  my husband spent many a night there, we would love to go back but next time would book a studio as they are away from the main road and noise and set around a lovely garden , also the apartments have two flights of steep steps hard when lugging suitcases up!, as no airconditioning because we went heatwave early july, a fan is a must as u can be aware being above restraunts, they are 15 euros for 1 week 25 euros for two weeks, safe is 35 euros, the apartments are above a greek restraunt and we were above the chinese/indian the others above a shop, the two end ones have a lovely side balcony also so ask when booking, the basement apartment/studios are at bottom and back onto the shop/restraunts so would be also hot, all in all a lovely place, i think the staff and especially the cleaners kept the place lovely so deserve a big clap, would love to be back in lovely zante happy holidays to all going or thinking and hope my coments help!
