Arrived back in UK 5/10/06 after spending 11nights at the Contessina Hotel, Had a great time , weather a bit windy first two days,mega thunderstorm , than fantastic! Hotel and staff very good, breakfast much better than we thought, sausages, eggs, beans, yogurt, fruit, cooked meats, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, various breads,preserves, fruit juice, water, cereals(we take our own as theirs taste like cardboard!) Would definitely return, Great tavernas,  the best been Fat Olives, best bar Freddies(on the beach)

Just returned from Zante, had lunch almost everyday at Freddies. You can tell that this is a family run bar because they really care about you and what they serve, even Granny is on hand at the grand age of 91! Rory, Rita, Rob & family make you feel very special , always have time for a chat. Meze for two at   6 euros is great, bruschetta is to die for! salads and sandwiches are great. Good local wine ,the red is the best, nice and fruity, Best wishes to all at Freddies , See you again soon

Just returned Back from Zante, ate at Fat Olives 4 times after finding it last year, got the most fantastic welcome! Try the pan fried prawns in tomato and chilli fantastic! Medalions of pork, great, Lamb kleftiko ,brilliant, Mixed fish grill, too much to eat,Steak with tomato, super! and lots more, Bit more expensive than around ,but you get what you pay for and it is so nice to get fresh veg instead of rice and chips all the time, Good luck to Val & James

Really nice here, Hat the jugged beef, very nice. Also had the mixed grill which was excellent value, On one of our visits my husband was unwell, they were so kind to us, they took us back to our hotel in their car and helped me get my husband in (nothingto do with the food or drink as we had only just ordered when this happened) Thanks again to all. Make sure you go to the right restaurant (on the main road) as there is another one on one of the side roads( not too good!)
