10/10We were recommended thi fine eatery,by the hotel receptionist (Jenny) at the Contessina, and we were not disappointed. ended up eating there 5 times and the greek owner James is so genuine. will be going back next year without a doubt

Firstly a great big "hello" to James, Val and the staff of Fat Olives. This place and these people make a dining experience just what it really should be. The food is superb and cooked to perfection, the restaurant itself is always clean and tidy and the atmosphere is a million miles away from the hustle and bustle that awaits a few hundred yards away. We have visited our "friends" in Fat Olives for a few years now and are always welcomed with that big smile and a generous hug. Unfortunately for family reasons we will not make our pilgrimage this year but hope to bounce back next year. Wonderful wonderful people. Try the place and not on the last night because you will want to go back I promise.

I tried this Restaurant after seeing good reports about it
sorry I do not rate this place at all , we may have just been unlucky, but hubby enjoyed his meal but he had tasted better, I did not enjoy my meal as my chicken was slightly undercooked which I hate.
It was also the dearest meal we had on holiday.

if you want a fantastic meal in a mediterranean style setting then fat olives is for you. it is up in the planos area of tsilivi which is slightly out of town but if you really want to try it which i think you definately should it will only cost you a couple of euros in a taxi. we have eaten here on quite a few occasions and cannot fault any of the dishes we had tasted. james who owns the restaurant is a lovely man and always makes you feel very welcome. we have been been going to tsilivi twice a year for 8 years and we have sampled the good with the bad and i can assure you this restaurant is top notch. james, if you read this keep up the good work, good luck with the restaurant and and we will see you next year. - GB
- GB 10/10WE HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM OUR 2ND VISIT TO TSILIVI AND ALTHOUGH WE WENT TO A FEW DIFFERENT RESTAURANTS FAT OLIVES WAS BY FAR THE BEST!THE STANDARD AND SIZE OF THE MEALS WAS GREAT AND WE THOUGHT EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY.

So much so when I spoke to Val about our return in September explaining that one of our party is Diabetic. She took no time at all in saying we will be happy to cater for your friend.

- GB Val & James are the best hosts that we have come across in our many visits to Zante. The food is fantastic & fresh!! They kooked after us like family and even organized a birthday cake for our daughter - we will be back!! Love to all xx PS - Wish we had found you three holidays ago!!

Just returned Back from Zante, ate at Fat Olives 4 times after finding it last year, got the most fantastic welcome! Try the pan fried prawns in tomato and chilli fantastic! Medalions of pork, great, Lamb kleftiko ,brilliant, Mixed fish grill, too much to eat,Steak with tomato, super! and lots more, Bit more expensive than around ,but you get what you pay for and it is so nice to get fresh veg instead of rice and chips all the time, Good luck to Val & James
- GB Val & James continue to provide excellent food and atmosphere. we call in at least once a year and are always made welcome. As you will see on our other posts we have been visting the Island for 15 years and we rate this this place as a must do

- GB Once again eating at fat olive`s is the best. Only stayed a week this time ate there three nights. Took some friends , who know about food, Very impressed! Choice is great, presentation is great,price is fair and Val & james (not forgetting the girls) make this more like a house party than a visit to a restaraunt. Keep it up gang !! See you soon. - GB Just had to add to the comments - Fat Olives is gorgeous! Val and James are always so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We celebrated our 10th anniversary recently and there were 16 of us. We had the most lovely evening - the table was decorated lovely and Val got us a lovely cake and champagne. The meal was served and everyone raved about it. The service and standard was second to none. This is the norm for Fat Olives. Well done everyone! We will see you in a few weeks. Can not recommend it enough. Many thanks again.

- GB We had more lovely meals here this year - James & Val are just the best hosts and the girls in the kitchen present their dishes so beautifully. Everything is fresh - Beef Kokinisto is delicious and the salmon steak superb. The kids meals are also delicious. This restaurant really does deserve a higher rating - thanks guys - see you next year!
