Perfect beer food, nothing like a crepe after a heavy night on the cocktails!! HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!!
We stayed in Tsilivi from 17th sept to the 24th and went here twice, once for breakfast and then for dinner. The beef stifado was the best I've ever tasted. The breakfast was lovely as well! Service was good, and food was well priced ... would recommend!
A bit too english-ified for us! Only ate here once, we preferred to eat at the traditional Greek restaurants, the customers here seemed to prefer bangers and mash to the mousaka!!
Yeah, fair enough there shouldn't be a maccy d's in Greece, however it's only there because of us English! Going to maccy d's is missing out on the wonderful greek food there is to offer in Tsilivi .. however, when you needed a quick bite to eat and didn't want to go through the whole waiting to be served, then the food and the bill, maccy d's was good for that. The service was good, the food was HOT!! (never experienced that in maccy d's before) and they served beer!, so yes i agree maccy d's should stay in the U.K and the U.S, but it still was a nice place to eat.
Mambo is by far the best cocktail bar in Tsilivi! Don't miss out on sex on the beach at the bargain price for 3 euros!!! sooooo nice! Paris is a legend, friendliest man we met, taught us loads of Greek! Music was great, service was excellent. That lad managed to drag us in every night!! and I sooooo want that red bull table.
Please don't confuse the larger boat trips with Captain Spiros' speed boat. We went on the half day boat trip to see the shipwreck and the blue caves and it was excellent. We chose a great day to go, as we could get the boat right up to the shipwreck beach! The blue caves were so amazing, although I don't think I would have dared jump into the water for the others to see how blue it is!! Captain Spiros made the trip for me, he was so funny and knew all there is to know about the island, was a little bit scared at him letting the little boy drive the boat though! It was an excellent trip - would recomend to anybody. Definitely need to go back on it though, as we didn't manage to see any dolphins! John was a bit seasick, but I blame it on the alcohol we had the night before Oh and if you're on Tsilivi beach at 1pm, if you hear a boat horn sounding, give captain spiros a wave!!
This was a fantastic trip to go on! Our jeep driver Demitri was cool. A really good way to see the island. We had 2 stop points, the first beach we stopped at was gorgeous, and the sea was so blue! Had to cope the rest of the trip with a wet skirt though from swimming in the sea! The meal we had at the restaurant (can't remember the name - sorry!) was lovely. The food was great and the service was excellent, also we were sat right next to the sea to eat. Would recommend this trip, although we did think it was a bit pricey. As to the rankings below, the 'comfort factor' is only low because you can't expect comfort whilst sat in the back of a defender! it didn't spoil the trip though! Oh one tip tho, don't drink the night before!!
We didn't stay at the hotel, but decided to stop in for a drink one night as it was right next to the beach. The staff here are excellent and because of them we came back more or less every night of the holiday. We ate here one night and the food was excellent. The piano player was brilliant! It was our favourite place on the island and would definitely recommend it!!
we used the cash machine under the supermarket too, and i was able to draw money out fine!
