Hi, Just to let you know that me and my family have just spent two weeks in tsilivi. We had no problems with the cash machines at all, just to reassure you we didnt take any cash or travellers cheques so we relied on the cash machines. There are only two in Tsilivi, one is near the large supermarket with the escelator and the other is round the corner from Paradise Bar, on the opposite side of the road, they both have english so you cant go wrong. Another thing is no-one can pinch your money ot travellers chqs if you dont have them.
We are going to tsilivi on sunday & really worrying now about what money to take or to get travellers cheques cos of negative reviews about the atm's there, anyone been recently if so how did they get on?
visited tsilivi in october took euros and travellers cheques, would not advise anybody to go wothout .when we were there a lot of people had problems getting any cash from the machine.we did hear of people having no problems ,but most had to go one or two days borrowing or going without cash. we did find that most places would accept credit cards so nobody had problems getting a meal.
We used the cash machine underneath the escalator in Tsilivi - (green neon lights at night) underneath the Tourist shop on the beach road - worked fine for us.
Unfortunately you have to pay 2-2.5% commission when you cash euro travellers cheques - you pay nothing on cash or Sterling travellers cheques...
Hi,
can anyone please tell me if there is a charge for cashing Euro Travel Checks
Cheers
Del
Don't rely on your cash cards and the bank machines. They are often out of order, although the one near Paradise Bar is Tsivili wasn't too bad. We ran out of cash and travellers cheques, and neither machine was working. Fortunately, we had some sterling which we changed to euros in our hotel.
The ATM opposite The Paradise Bar / Apollon Taverna proved to be very dependable during our visit.
There are only two cash macjines in Tisilivi, beware take you euro traveller cheques, we cashed ours in the hotel (planos aparthotel) it was easier and cheaper than outside.
Just a bit of a warnig to anyone visiting Tsilivi-the cash points are not reliable. We only took a few euro's with us, thinking it would be easy to withdraw money -WRONG! For the first few days we had none as the machines were out of order. Apparantly they are only filled up with cash once a week (this was in May-it could be different in the high season) and this goes very quickly. So my advice would be not to rely on them too much.
Please can you give me the exact location of cash tills in Tsilivi - I am due to go there in June and would prefer to take plastic rather than cash/travellers cheques Regards Simon
another cash machine opposite popeye's outside the tour agent
Just the information I needed - I was going to ask about solo cards but I turned it over and there was the Cirrus symbol! Sorted
is there a charge for withdrawing cash abroad and if so how much please?i am referring to using a cirrus cash card as opposed to a visa or credit card.would be grateful if someone could tell me!
Cash machine situated at the bottom end of the village. You can withdraw money if you have VISA or Mastercard or if you have a cash machine card with the CIRRUS symbol on it.
