I am going to the Alikanas Beach Apartments on 20th May with my husband and my two daughters aged 3 and 5. Firstly I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are any cash machines in the vacinity to save me having to take lots of money with me. Secondly are there any cake shops/bakery in the town as its my youngest birthday while we are out there and my hubby has promised her a cake and finally are there any good restaurants you can recommend.

We got back from Zante on Sunday and we were really impressed with not only the Hotel itself but also with the Staff. Sue, Nikos, Julie, Maria and many more. The only problem was that we had to come home. 
Everyone was lovely and helpful. Our kids throughly enjoyed every second and it was hard to get them out of the pool.
It is definately a place that we will go to again and will more than happily recommend others to go to. Come on Kosmar get the holidays for next year available, we want to go again.

Thanks for agreeing with my comments, we really were impressed with everything there. I cannot believe that Kosmar haven't got the holidays on sale yet, BUT HOT NEWS!!!!!! I called them the other day and they said that the brochure will be out at the end of the month so i'll be straight down the Travel Agents to book as apparently they do go really fast for this hotel. I think I will try and go back about the same time as it was ideal for the girls temperature wise and not too busy. Nice price aswell.
Where you the family with the baby boy who liked playing in the Dingie (excuse the spelling if wrong)? If you where, I hope that your 2Bed Apart wishes are granted. We where the family with the two blond haired girls who had the party.

10/10Yippee. At Last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The holidays for next year are now on sale (. (No brochure yet though). I went in on Monday (how sad going in on the day they go on sale) after pestering the Travel Agent on a weekly basis and checking the website. If you know when you want to go and we sort of did, then go and get it BOOKED.

If you know when you want to go and we sort of did, then go and get it BOOKED.I had to wait about half and hour while the girl was on hold and she got cut-off (good sign though as it means its popular to travel with Kosmar) but its done. Only another 49 weeks to go, but Sue and Letta the "Tilstones" are coming back so the same room again would be nice. No birthday cake needed this time though.
Get Booking everyone and I hope you all get the dates that you want. If its as good as this year then its going to be great.

Just a little question, we go back in less than 3 weeks (Yippeeee) and I was just wondering have they got any entertainment staff there this time?
Are Julie, Maria and Leta still there, my daughters thought they were lovely and it would be really nice to see them again.

Thanks Jo, its a shame that the girls won't be there, but at least we may be able to see Julie and perhaps even Maria if she's at the airport. Does Julie's mum and dad still have that Bar in town? We went there a couple of times for breakfast and it was lovely.
I got a call from the Travel Agent's today and my tickets have arrived, its nearly here only 13 working days left and then its off for two weeks in the sun.
Oh i've just thought of something else, is it still not commission on changing stering into Euros. we made the mistake of taking Euro Travellers cheques last year and ended up having to pay commission twice.

Right here we go.
We've been back a week now and its horrible.
Yet again we had a lovely time around the pool and the kids really enjoyed it, the rooms were clean and the staff were lovely but the atmosphere seemed to have a little something missing. Last year we spent alot of time in the bar in the evenings, but this time we went elsewhere.
Other than that though we really enjoyed it and depending on the finances we will be back next year.

PS Anyone looking for Julie she's at the PALM TREE in Alykes (Excellent Bar, definately worth a visit), her cocktails are in fact better than they were before.
