Tried Zorbas on our last night and must agree with the other posters..the meal was spot on. I had the Greek Meze for main and the meat was fall-to-pieces beautiful. My other half tried the Lamb a la Zante and that too was perfect. Service was super and the price matched the meal. Gorgeous!
Having found Ethnic nextdoor full, we decided to give 3 Brothers a try. We were the only non-Greek couple in the restaurant and there seemed to be something lacking in the service and no real enthusiasm towards the cooking, either. In fact, I can't remember what we ate there exactly. That's how memorable it was. I do remember a very sickly, sweet Moussaka..and a prawn cocktail which wasn't bad, but for a fish restaurant it was lacking a bit of pizazz and far too much sauce. Not the best.
Had a good meal here. Service was quick and friendly. Beef Stifado for main was lovely. Careful where you sit, though. When the wind changes, the fountain tends to spray half the restaurant (which, I suppose is quite welcome on a hot day.)
As we arrived by coach on the Thursday we had the pleasure of being held up by a long line of dancers on the street, with the pavement on fire. Always a good sign! Had a lovely meal there with generous portions and friendly service. Excellent!
Hmmm...ok if you like your food of an English pub grub variety. We tried here on our first night in Argassi and were disappointed to find they had run out of Moussaka. Tried the Greek meze for starters which was nice (even the octopus in vinegar) but overall, this wasn't my kind of place. I can see it would be popular with its quiz nights and karaoke evenings for someone who is looking for that kind of thing. Service was unsmiling and generally of a who-gives-a-damn attitude. Maybe I chose the wrong night?
