Just got back from argassi today 21/08/08 and by far ethnic is the best restaurant in argassi, i would recomend the pork or chicken off the spit, t-bone steak and especially the chicken and pork haggis. Gina is a great hostess with the mostess.
Stayed in Porto Iliessa Apartments first two weeks in August couldn't fault them. We had a two bedroomed apartment which were very spacious, with lots of storage space, free airconditioning and two balconies with a pool view and side sea view. The maids were in every day and bedding and towels were changed twice a week. Pool was lovely as was the pool bar and top bar, with snacks, ice lollies/cream and drinks reasonably priced. Out the poolside of the apartments you went straight on to the small beach, don't be put off by the beach it is small and a little bit rocky when you first go in but the sea is clean and warm with water sports if you want them. The reception staff are all really nice and speak good English and they tell you what the temperature is that day 47o on one of our hotter days (hot hot hot!) All in all the apartments are really nice and right in the centre of argassi next to the numerous restaurants and bars.
Went on jeep safari on 14th August it was well worth the money, our driver was Ian from Scotland and he took us to places you wouldn't normally go to. We went on road and off road which was an experience to say the least (one foot from the cliff top I can't bear to think about it) If you do just one trip on your holiday I would recomend this one, it's not only informative, scary, great fun but also one hell of a day out and well worth the money. We booked through Julian and Tassos in Tsilivi but you can also book this same trip in Argassi through Peter. More comfortable ride in the front but really scary in the back, if there are two parties sharing one jeep arrange to swap half way through the journey this will ensure you get both experiences. Thanks for one hell of a day out.
Ate many times in Legend and I have to say the meals were tasty with good portions and very good value for money. The night life was also very good we had a brilliant night with the hypnotist and Elvis is King and also not dead but from Yorkshire, great kareoke and the drinks are also really cheap.
Must have been having an off day, we went for lunch and it was luke warm, un-appertising and quite expensive, cannot recomend it.
Lamb cleftico to die for, it was gorgeous and prices very reasonable, beef staffado also very nice and service really quick and friendly.
Lamb cleftico beautiful, service impecable great restaurant, large portions and great value for money, what more can I say!
