My family returned to see Sakis and Pepi and the children again. This time there were fifteen of us. It was again an excellent holiday and we could not fault anything. We were treated as members of the family and we loved every minute of our holiday. It is a lovely place to stay and the effort Sakis and Pepi put in to making you happy and comfortable is tremendous. We felt safe with our children, all seven of them, which made a very relaxed atmosphere. A lovely place to stay, quiet and close to two resorts. We will be returning next year
Just checking on my post and the cleanliness should read excellent.
We returned from Villa Amoudi last Sunday (13th Aug) what a brilliant holiday we had. This was down to Sakis, Pepi and all their family, the weather and a wonderful apartment in a beautiful setting. We were made to feel welcome immediately, nothing was any trouble. We were warned that Sakis is an excellent pool player, he is and was always smiling execpt when maybe my husband or son beat him. Although I am sure he is still the 'champion' If you are looking for a holiday that is quiet, laid back, not having to put your towel on a sunbed to reserve it then you will find all this at Villa Amoudi. The Greek nights that we had on the Saturdays we were there - something else, people getting pushed into the pool afterwards well, our sons loved it.We are hoping to return in 2007 - says it all. If you have any questions please ask.
My Family and I have just returned from Villa Amoudi. Leaving was emotional and sad. It is a lovely place. The apartments are open, light, spacious and scrupulously clean. They all have aircon, t.v and your own safe. The owners, Sakis and Pepi and their children are a delightful family and do everything to make you welcome and willingly help to make your holiday enjoyable. My wife and I have been to many Greek Islands and have stayed in several different types of accommodation this was undoubtably the best. If you are intending to visit Zakinthos and want somewhere quiet and peaceful with a very warm welcome, this is the place. It has it's own very good tavernas and Tsilivi and Alykanas are only minutes away. It is superb we could not fault it. We fully intend to return.
Just back from amoudi had an excellent time staying with Sakis,Pepi,Helena and Nancy!!
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday then this is the place to go highly recomended!!! To book email direct to pepi1970@teledomenet.gr and enjoy your stay like we did
For Paula Walker
Go for it. My wife and I have been independantly 4 times now and its a dam site better than being herded like sheep by the tour companys
Does anyone know if Phil Wright got his web site up and running?
The comments on Amoundi by everyone have me eagerly thinking about a holiday in the resort with my family this year.
I only came across the resort by accident with a link from Alikes, and i'm very pleased about it! :-)
I'm a bit nervous about travelling independantly, but as i've only heard positive comments about booking flights and accomodation direct, I think i'll go ahead.
Thanks for your input.
The apartments have just had a swiming pool built that was only just being filled when we left the resort on 9/6/03. Should be ready now and was looking very good.
I've had a couple of inquiries about Amoudi Villa following comments last year. If you would like to inquire about bookings, drop an email to Sakis and Pepi at pepi1970@teledomenet.gr
If they are booked up, Sakis's cousin Ruassi has a lovely new appartment block up the road, which he will inquire about for you. Cheers.
HAS ANYBODY BOOKED UP FOR AMOUDI IN 2003 WITH T+A TRAVEL
Amoudidirect.co.uk - If you want to book for next year, have a look at the site. The site is not quite ready so any info required, email me Trisharrison@aol.com
After working in Amoudi for 3 years as a holiday rep and then holidaying there twice yearly since, I can strongly reccommend the Villa Amoudi Studios and Apartments. They are very spacios, clean and well planned out. The owners Pepe ands Sakkis are very friendly and will help you all they can to have a fantasic holiday. The Camelot Cocktail Bar which belongs to the Villa Amoudi is one of the best bars in Amoudi, and I can reccommend all the cocktails on their lists - especially the Banana Boats. If anyone would like advise about how to book the Villa Amoudi for 2003, please do not hesitate to contact me at mtdarcy007@aol.com Amoudi is great - you will love it.
Having stayed in a couple of the apartment complexes in Amoudi, and listened to what others have to say about where they have stayed, I would definately say that this is the best place to stay. The apartments are clean and spacious and basically have everything you need for self catering holiday. We liked them so much we booked directly with Sakis the second time around !!
Just returned yesterday from my second visit to Amoudi Villas since June. I love the island as a whole and in particular Amoudi, from where Sam and I based our forays. The appartments' owners, Sakis and Pepe, are lovely people. I'm so disappointe3d in JMC's decision to pull out of Amoudi next season (not enough profit margin for them) that I plan to create a website for the town, probably by October. In answer to some questions though, you'll be looking at about 17.5 euros for the taxi from the airport. Twenty with the tip is fair, I think. Transfer time 25 minutes. Pubs and Tavernas? The Camelot bar attached to Amoudi Villas has got to be the best by far. Achillion restaurant/swimming pool good for most food, the one along the road from Achillion is called Tasos and does fantastic calf's liver (over charcoal)and has only been open since June. For souvlaki , try Anatolis, 400 yards north up the main road. Very quiet and deserves more clientele though don't expect more than fast-food at lunchtime as the chef generally only works evenings. Good reports from Horizons restaurant on main road. Blue Dolphin next to Achillion does lots of English food(Indian night on Wednesday!)so I missed it out. It's run by a bloke from the West country, I believe.Anna's bar and pool 200 yards up the main road had a good reputation, though that's had a change of management this year and I can't judge it myself. The Last Resort is a sports bar, only open in the evenings. Pool table and sports channels, pretty English. Kozanos, good pool though I didn't eat there. Car hire and trips, see Stephanie for good deals, excellent advice and a chat over a Breezer! Nice lady. Best Soupermarket (spelling intentional!) is between Staphanie's and Amoudi Villas. I could go on for ever - until I get the site up, mail me at p.wright@sthree.com for further info and advice. I'll be as impartial as possible though I am a bit biased to the place! Yia mas!
Just a thank you to Martin Fletcher for the comments on Villa Amoudi. We are looking forward to going 12th September. It seems worth paying for a taxi for the transfer - what should I expect to pay? Do you have any photos of the area - searching the JMC sight is nigh on impossible for Villa Amoudi - nickjervis@aol.com
In reply to Nick Jervis The Villa Amoudi is run by a great couple who also run the attatched Camalot bar which can be a bit lively. Places to eat, Clear Horizon has excelent food with large portions and cheap prices. Amoudi Grill oposite end of village to Amoudi Villa excelent sea food. New place opened this year don't know name follow road to achilion follow road to the right for about 50 meters excelent food used it 4 times during the end of june begining of july
Has anyone got any links to pages on Amoudi and Villa Amoudi? I'm going there in July and not sure it even exists?
We are staying at Villa Amoudi in September 2002. Does anyone know anything about it please? Are there bars and tavernas in Amoudi? I am happy with quiet but would like to be able to eat somewhere.
