Fraport Greece has taken over management of 14 airports across Greece including Zakynthos Dionysios Solomos Airport. They have a plan to invest a minimum of 400 million euros between 2018 and 2021 in response to the annual increases seen in passenger traffic. Total investment could reach 1 billion euros during the 40 year period the company has responsibility for the airports.



- Refurbishing and remodeling of terminal
- HBS inline screening
- Refurbishing of Air Traffic Control tower (ACT)
- New fire station
- Relocation of transformers and generators
- Reorganizing the airport apron area at the landing-take-off parking areas
- Refurbishing the airside pavement at the airport’s entrance and car park
- New safety and storage station
- 33 percent increase in the number of check-in counters (from 15 to 20)
- 150 percent increase in the number of security lanes (from 2 to 5)
