Tipsy Toad

Spent many an enjoyable night/afternoon in the tipsy toad. My thanks to Terry and Jill for adding to the enjoyment of my holiday. This bar is a "must visit" on any holiday on Zante. See you next time. PS. Christmas eve was excellent!!!! Gary

Hey, Jill and Terry, well we had a great xmas with you but I didn't get a present. Had a great time in this bar, and Terry and Jill are lovely people. The brilliant quizes late in the evening have to be experienced to be believed. Ask Terry where you can get a 10 euro carriage ride and he will point you in the right direction. You can find them at the end of the village (a/port direction.) You really musn't miss this place. I guarrantee you will have a laugh a minute.See you next year, Pete and Diane- Oxford. 

What a fantastic haven!  Always a lovely welcome from Terry, Jill and Linda and the Christmas night is an absolute must!!!  Lovely place to chill with an afternoon beer on the way back from the beach and even better in the evenings. They always attract a great crowd in there and there are new friends to be made daily.  Keep up the good work guys.

It was definatly our local...friendly, funny and very entertaining....did NOT want to leave! A place for all ages...I miss the Tipsy Toad already! but i'll be in there again next year for sure!

Stayed in Alykes but walked the half hour hike to have the fantastic cocktails at the tipsy toad! The quizs were great fun and espesially enjoyed the "christmas eve" night!

Well we cannot knock it, it was just what we needed a nice place to relax and enjoy ourselves. pasties were excellant, beer cold. cocktails even better. the cross dressing and xmas nights were unbelievable but enjoyable. especially to the bearded lady and her/his accomplice. well done Terry, Jill and Linda. we will see you on the 24th jul again. Her are two more of the crossdressers.

Friend of Pauline and Jamies here, Lisa. heard sooo much about "Tipsy Toad" sounds like great fun, and soo much so that i plan on joining the troublesome two next year! Yous both sound like like lovely genuine people and I'm looking forward to meeting all the 'gang'  Can't wait to experience the forever talked about Hospitality and Lindas cooking I also can't wait to experience the famous nights of cross dressing and Xmas fun as ive witnessed on the photo shown

All the cross dressing and Christmas eve nights were a great laugh!  Great place to go for families, absolutly recommended!! Service was great, always sure of a warm welcome from all of the staff  We wouldn't have any hesitation in going back again... and again... and Again!! xxx

Can't quite understand all the comments on here. It's a pub. If you want to go to a pub you've probably got one quite close to where you live. I have. When I'm in Greece I'd rather be aware of the fact I'm in Greece..have no desire to feel like I'm at home when I've spent a small fortune to leave the country. Having said that it's a perfectly adequate pub if that's what you're looking for.

What a place.

My boyfriend and I spent a week in Alykanas last month, and every night we could be found in the Tipsy Toad. They had everything a great bar needs; brilliant people, great music, fantastic quizzes, superb cocktails. Not to mention tasty snacks and a great choice of films. Definitely not a place to be missed.

Many thanks to Terry, Jill & Linda for making our holiday one to remember.

     my wife and i were in alykanas from the 14 to 28 of august and spent  every    night in tipsy toad the drink was excellent and cheap and lindas bar snacks were out of this world.

terry and jill were excellant host and hostess and they made us feel; more like family than guests

Superb bar with friendly service from all bar staff, Terry and Gill excellent hosts nothing is too much trouble for them in this easy going bar.

We thought that the service and the atmosphere was second to none and the hosts were like family.would recommend to anyone.

We have just spent two weeks in Alykanas, the resort was just what we wanted but unfortunately the family that ran our hotel weren't exactly friendly! However, Jill, Terry and Linda saved the day. They are the most friendliest welcoming people we have ever met on our holidays. The Tipsy Toad is a must if you are in the area. Everyones needs are catered for, footie on sky, films for old and young, darts, giant connect 4, nightly quizzes, good grub, and always a friendly smile. Thanks guys for being a big part of our holidays, you are simply the best!!!!!!!!!!! If you're ever in Derby, please don't go without calling in.

Just arrived back - Hello Terry & Jill - great people, great place make you feel very welcome - will definately be back - Brummie Birds - better known in the quizzes as the No Hopers! 

Made some of our days and nights more enjoyable and was lucky enough to win a t-shirt for my wine bottle. I was made to feel sooooo welcome and at ease thank you.

an absolutly fantastic bar, the best atmospher in the whole of alykanas! always a plesure, with great beer, food and entertainment, even if it was just terry being a walking disaster zone, you know what i mean jill!  hehe! really enjoyed every second i spent in this cracking little bar! thank you very much for being such good fun and becoming an unforgetable part of our holiday!

Just found this website! Went to Zante in May and really enjoyed the Tipsy Toad. Everyone was really friendly and made you feel welcome. A good night out and well worth a visit!

You've tried the rest - now try the Best !!  The Tipsy Toad is by far the best bar that we've been to on holiday. Jill and Terry provide entertainment for all.. From sports and movies, and games for the kids during the day to a differently themed quiz every night. There's plenty of alcohol for the winners - trust me,  we're still drinking our winnings!

This bar is by far the best place to be in Alykanas!!  Not only do Terry and Jill put on entertainment for young and old throughout the day including films, sport, kids stuff etc, they also have a great quiz every night where alcohol a plenty can be won! (We did so well everyone else wanted us to go home!!)

We have just come back from a fabulous 2 week holiday in Alykanas and for the first few days we tried all kinds of different restaurants and bars but most nights we ended up at the Tipsy Toad purely because of the quality of entertainment and the warmest of welcomes you could possibly hope for. (And we weren't the only ones, many of the same people came back night after night because it was just so friendly!  and if you're reading this Mike & Sue and Jen & Nic, you guys helped make a good holiday great!)

Terry and Jill (and don't forget Linda!) work so hard to make sure your holiday is a great one and we not only had a fab time, we also met some really nice people of all ages (from 20 somethings to 60 somethings!) who were there at the same time.  I had my birthday while I was over there and Linda even managed to cook me a cake!!  If you fancy a snack their cheese and onion pasties are to die for!!

For the ladies, there is even a nail technician that visits every Friday afternoon, they think of everything!!  If you go to Alykes or Alykanas in Zakynthos, or even if you are staying at another resort and have a hire car, give the Tipsy Toad a try, you won't be sorry I promise you.

Going to Alikanas !!!! if so you have got to call in at the TOAD fabulous & friendly atmosphere just like being at home but without the YOB'S, Jill & Terry, Linda & Dave will go all out to make your hoilday one to remember great quiz nights [ if Dave ever stops talking } try Linda's apple pie &cream [ just like mothers ] and last but not least Terry's SEX ON THE BEACH you know when you have had this !!!!!!!,

went to typsy in june 2004 terry and jill really nice they probably needed a 2week break after my son connor lol but we had a laugh there quiz night was good we won 2 times it is a must try bar

was there sept 2003 terry & jill made a great hol.looked after my daughter jordan well seeing terry didnt like kids at the time.will be back june 2005 we cannot wait to see terry &jill again.by the way thanks for the xmas card

A great place to stop off for a few drinks, fun quiz nights, movies, and a chat with the effervescent Jill & Terry, and they're open all year round. They also have draught Strongbow...lovely !!!!! Watch out for Terry's Bloody Mary though....lethal.

we spent 2 weeks here in june . terry and jill were really good with the kids and found things to occupy them so the grownups could have a good time . this is not a bar for the young ones .it is for the people that are not looking for a rave just a quiet evening with quizzes and maybe some sports on the tv .if you are going there ask if they remember my grandson connor they worked hard with him for the 2 weeks .we will definately go there again

Just got back alykanas and this was the place we spent most of our time at night, even if we started of elsewhere. Terry and Jill and not to forget the Quiz master Big Dave, will make you welcome and will want you to return there again and again. The only problem for me though was the fact that Terry was a Chelsea supporter but then again who cares i was on holiday. So a Big Big thumbs up to this place. From the Tipsy Six
