Olympic Flame

Was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant after a few bad comments that we heard but decided to give it a go anyway. The camp bloke outside put you off a bit - he was a bit OTT but service inside was pretty good. The saganaki is not the best we've tried but it was ok. Portions of main course were huge - i couldn't finish the stroganoff even if it was very tasty - just needed a bit of brandy in the sauce. My fiance enjoyed his lamb chops, small but tasty. Overall pretty nice and worth a try.

I'm really surprised by all the negative comments as all 4 of us had a superb meal!
Excellent menu, good prices and a thoroughly enjoyable meal. What more can I say?

what can i say it was the worst meal i had all holiday my husband couldnt eat it my brother was sick after it i wouldnt bother even timos who owned the pool where we stayed told us not to bother

Went here only once. Ordered chicken fillet, was told no chicken fillets left but roasted chicken with roast potatoes rice and salad. when it came it was a roasted chicken bone with hardly any chicken, chips and beans. Whilst we were eating there was a big thunderstorm, we got locked in as the rain came bouncing down. there was water coming through the gaps of the ceiling. best thing about it was we had a free drink.

I visited here once with a friend and it wasn't bad at all! The service was fast and our greek dishes were lovely but maybe that was because we went in the off-peak season, when it wasn't busy and the waiters could attend to us better. I have to admit that the PR is pushy but he's a nice lad and is obviously good at his job cuz he got us to go in there!

Nothing special service poor, we were charged twice on our credit card when we checked our statement on our return!

We were given a table then waited for 15 minutes before we got up & walked out cos nobody had even bothered to come and take an order from us - the place looks lovely and we thought it must be good cos there's loads of people in it - we soon realised that was actually cos they just leave the customeers sitting there waiting for service. Do yourself a favour - don't bother going there

the place looks lovely but it was a complete let down.we waited well over an hour for our meal which was not the best ive ever had.it was one of our most expensive meals.the service was so slow as well.STAY AWAY!!!!!! p.s i had a dodgey stomach 4 days after it as well.

We liked it here. The staff were friendly and our food was really nice.

Too hot. No choice. Too long. Too expensive. That explains it all. Only good side is I could watch the build up to the England match in the bar on the other side of the road.

it wasnt that bad 11 ov us ate hear and all enjoyed our meals service was quick considering. prices maybe a little higher for the quality but not bad at all! the door boy was nice darren! but hes gay! haha

We loved it??!!!!!!!!!! The man on the door was soooo fine!!! They did charge us 3.60E for bread that we didnt touch but hey?!!!! It wasnt that bad!!!

The food I had here wasnt very nice at all. The lasagne was some weird sponge thing - dreadful! Wouldnt bother with this place at all.

Absolutely awful. This was one of the last palces we ate before we left for home and I must say it was expensive and the food was bloody awful. I ordered flame-grilled garlic chicken and it came out in less than 30 seconds, cold. Stay away.

I do recommend the Bella Napoli for Italian food but it doesn't appear on the restaurant listing on this site.

We visited this place once and it was one time too many. The service was ok, but a bit slow eventhough the place was quiet. The food was awful, the spaghetti bolognase was very dry, not enough sauce and the mince tasted like the powdered vegatarian substitutes you get. My friend had lasagna and that was also awful, the top was covered in what can only be described as scrambled egg!!!! not cheese and the layers also contained HAM!!!, which was not mentioned on the menu. It was also the most expensive place we ate at all week which was a complete waste of money. I would not recomend this place to anyone. Siobhan and Carrie.

This was our worst meal ever!!!!My Lamb Kleftico was like an old boot. I couldnt even cut the meat. I needed a steak knife to get through it. It was also the most expensive meal in two weeks!That night both me and the girlfried were ill!

Good looking frontage and well laid out. The food was quite good and the service OK. Prices were slightly higher but not much than other places, but it is on the main drag and supply and demand tends in that direction. We only ate here once, but if we had been close by we may have gone again.

This is possibly the worst resterant in laganas. service sumwhat slow to say the least, portions very small if not minuscule, prices above average But nevermind Mcdonalds was just a little stroll away. If you are a hearty eater dont bother with this place try ODYSSEY instead just up the road turn left at the crossroads next to STRINGS BAR GREAT PLACE FOR A DRINK

We quite liked this restaurant we didnt see any cats!! Service was very fast and the price was good. I think you have to try this one for yourself

Sorry to dissapoint everyone, but we thought this was the crapiest restuarant in Zante, the service was medioca, and the food was awful. I thought with a piece of steak you were supposed to have chips, or some kind of potato and salad, not just a piece of bootleather! we ended up going macdonalds straight after! also there were scummy little cats walking on the tables and going up peoples legs! sorry guys 0/10

We have never been served so quick!! The old bloke at the front slapped his menues together catching our attention and no sooner had we sat down we had eaten and were on our way back out again. Must be visited by all !

We got good food and quite good service - we went back with some friends the following week; but we did not receive same attention as 1st time. Food was good and we enjoyed it enough to go twice.

Never went in , due to reviews on this site. Old greek guy stands outside offering discount or free wine. The place looks great from the outside, plus kiddies play area inside. But I just didn't feel like throwing my money away.

Yep, had to wait a while for the food, but it was ok when it got there. Dont visit if you're fussy. The guy at the front door is classic...

If you don't mind waiting ages for your food then this is the place to go. When we eventually got our food though it was quite nice.

Returned from Zante yesterday went to this restaurant only once,that is all it took.We waited one and a quarter hours for our food even then it was'nt very good.When we ordered fress drinks we were told the beer we were drinking was no longer chilled but we could have another brand,but more expensive.It took a discussion with the manager to get it at the same price.The restaurant looks good,fom the outside, and looks full but if like good food and good service..... .......DONT EAT HERE.......

Always busy because of location but the food & service are average and the price is expensive. Not one of the best restaurants we tried.

first impressions - a big fat guy stops you and tells you to eat here - "the best food in laganas!" ....my a**e! never have i seen so many flies at a table. the food was poorly presented and tasted nothing special. surprisingly we didn't return again, and neither should you. prices certainly didn't match food quality either, quite expensive.

Poorly cooked and presented food. Poor wine. Apathetic service. Afraid imposing exterior and slightly higher than average prices do not make this a good restaurant. But because it is in a good position on the main road, it is always packed, which makes others assume that it is good. Don't be fooled. You'll get a much better traditional Greek meal from most of the tavernas & restaurants down on the beach.
