Impossible to know what we've got to look fwd to from what this lot says - half of them hate the place and old Anthony and the other half love it/him. I guess we'll just have to wait and see!!!

I have stayed at Divina a couple of times now. It is only 10-15 slow stroll along the beach to the main strip. Not too far but just far enough to be away from all the noise during the night.

rite where can i start! first holiday abroad without parents ! loved the holiday it was amaaaaaaazinnnnn! do go 2 laganas its fab! defo b comin bak ! but neva again to the divina! please listen 2 my advice these ppl leavin positive comments have seriously been brainwashed!!!!! here we go .....
1. it is in the middle of nowhere! a dark, lonely olive grove! strange greek boys lurking round every corner and stray evil dogs lol! the location is not good especiallly on ur trips bak from clubbin ! torch highly recommended (oh and a gun)
2.our apartment was dingy and dull ! and we had a view of a scrapyard! wuhu.
3. watch out 4 the cats their fleas will eat u alive!
4. oh yeah and if u have a downstairs apartment read the notice on ur cupboard *please do not feed the cats using these utensils (obviously every1 has done this previously evident from the state of teh cultelry * mankyyyyyyyyyy* yuckkkkkkkk!
5. the cooker doesn't switch off

7. nobody speaks eglish we felt soo unbelievably uncomfortable.
8. they will try and charge you 4 nething and everthing ! and then tell u ! beach 300 metres! (thsi is the only english phrase they kno )
9. the cleaner will leave ur windows open and ur stable like (prison like door ) open 2! ohh yessss meaning ne1 cud slip in ther hand n open ur door while u r out !
10.the safe deposit box's could b easily opoened or rolled away u'd b betta off putting it on the floor.

12. most important: anthony! watch out 4 this greasy slimeball! wot a horrible horrible man ! im sorry 2 all these anthony lovers but he was so horrible 2 us ! a slimey ! nasty! p**vert of a man ! young girls beware! (he made me feel so small! he's very intimidating!and 2- faced! )

rite ppl! these r just our interpretations of the place and the ppl! others seem 2 have had much betta times! i cant fault it totally! it could have been worse! the pool is nice . i dont think its the place 4 clubbers more 4 family's or older ppl! thanks 4 reading! and sorry if u disagree as i say these are just our opinions based on our experience of the place.

Been to divina for the last three years now and have a had a great time every year will deffinatly be going back. The hotel is great and Anthony and Dina are lovely people. I have know Anthony now 4 three years and can honestly say he is a great bloke he will do anything 4 anyone. People on this site have made some very unfair and untrue comments about him one girl in particular stated that he was nasty if you turned him down this is not true he looked out for these girls on a particular night when after drinking a couple of vodkas each threw up everywhere because they couldnt handle it but i guess immature little girls think they know it all dont they. I would deffinatly recommend taking a holiday here.

Thankyou again to Anthony for making my holiday and also thanks to the welsh couple that i met there you were a great laugh and cant wait too see you both again.

stayed in olive groves across the way to divina and they're brill. was there from the 7th of july to the 21st. was our second time out there. love anthony to bits. comes across as a bit of a tosser, but if people bothered to get to know him properly they would find that he would do anything for them. pool area by anthony's bar is excellent except you may get the odd school girl getting pissed on tea cups of vodka and complaining when they get up late that they're sun beds are taken by welsh w**kers! (didn't see your names on them) one more thing, funny how your opinion of somebody (anthony) changes when you can't get him to bed, maybe you should go without your parents next year.

we had a great time at the divanas, pool & bar were chilled, music was barry white me up. After a heavy night...every night Omelete monkey sorted me out at the bar. Saw some fat bloke trying to dive, cracked me up :) 7-13/07/03 some great memmories, Chetchein rebel in speedos on patrol, duncan from blue (mullet boy) with his wondering eyes. Could hear shuffling from room 201 one night, staypuft? probably to do with the broken bed. Would definetly go back. All the best, The unapprochables

The Strip was brilliant, Divina Bar was alrite except it closed at about 2am so you might as well get a taxi to the town. The service was poor and communication even worse, i don't see why the owners bothered to speak to you at all because they couldn't speak a word of english. The cleaners only came around every 3 days took my shot glasses which im not happy about and the fire alarms in the rooms have no batteries. Antony will try it on with anything female and thinks he's gods gift, my advice is don't go near the slease bag. The pool is alrite except welsh tossers take your sunbeds (and u thought germans were bad). Overall i had a great holiday and would come back to Laganas again, just not to Divina.

we got back on sunday and we had a good time. the weather was good all the time and the pool was nice. we could have had a s**t time but the ppl we met were really nice - sarah, billy (the chosen one), kelly, nick, ian, jason, lee, the basildon crew, martin & co, anyone else i've forgotten. thanx to amy and rebecca for letting us share ur taxis!
watch out for all the stray cats and dogs - they dont leave u alone, a bit like anthony if he sees anything with tits. except anthony is a complete b*****d to u if u turn him down.
the food dina cooks is really nice tho - bacon rolls.
the second to last night was funny cos tony from the basildon crew went off on one with anthony and swore he was gonna kill him. did u ever do that big s**t and clog up the toilets with loadsa bog roll tony?! it would have been good if u did.

the clubs r good except u walk in 1 and its 'go shawty it ya birthday' and u walk in another and its 'go shawty its ya birthday' and in the next its 'go shawty' ... u get the picture!

We had a fantastic time away from the hotel. The island is great, Divina and its pool, we are not so sure. If you are a family then this is not the place for you. The rooms are only cleaned every 2 - 3 days. Check your smoke alarms, no batteries..Anthony spoils the relaxed environment of the holiday pool. If you are female.. he is there. Not good if you are going as a couple. The owners understand no English at all and will charge you for anything that they can..... 7 euros for a chair that was already broke.. We stayed at Divina for two weeks.... never again. Anthony is a complete fool who thinks he is gods gift. Check your fire alarm, cos there are no batteries, and the fire escapes are locked 24/7. Drinks are expensive at 3.50 for the local beer. Local shop sells 4 bottles for 3.50, work it out. Also keep your door locked with the key left in.

just got back from zante and had the time of my life!! the rooms were alright, could do with clean towels and sheets a bit more often but that didn't bother us. the pool area is nice and the atmosphere is great. anthony makes the girls feel at home straight away! he's f**king fit too. nice tight t-shirts and a flash car. wot a show off.
the food in the pool snack bar was really nice and at a reasonable price too!
the beach is a short walk away and if u cant be bothered to walk to the clubs at night a taxi is 5 euros.
the holiday was really good and we really enjoyed ourselves. the people were really nice - shame about the welsh w**ker.
i would definately consider going back!

watch out for room 201 bed nearest window is rotten was put back together on our holiday using a screwdriver they then try to charge you 50 euros for it to have been fixed not good

Fantastic. Just a short walk to the beach(2-3 mins)and a 10 min stroll along the beach to the main strip. The bar/cafe at the bottom of the steps is cool and so is the lovely Maria who works there, but don't drink the water in the pool you pass on the way ! Take a couple of rolls of Andrex Super Soft and keep them in the fridge as the single ply greaseproof paper they supply wont last more than a day !
Anthony who works in the pool bar/cafe at Divinas was so gentle and as it was my first time with a man he used extra lubrication.

APARTMENTS ARE ALRIGHT, NOTHING FLASH, LOCTATION NOT BRILLIANT FOR NIGHTLIFE (TRY THE DENISE WHICH SEEM BETTER LOCATED) WE WERE ON THE GROUND FLOOR ONES (ROOM 8) AND THE ONES ATTACHED TO THE MAIN BUILSING SEEMED MUCH BETTER, HIRE A FAN AS ITS BOILING HOT WHEN TRYING TO GET READY.PEOPLE WHO RUN IT SEEMED OK BUT DONT KNOW A WORD OF ENGLISH. THERE IS A SHORT CUT DOWN TO THE BEACH (WHICH IS FAB)

Rooms don't have air-conditioning, but have 2 sets of doors, double glazed ones and ventilated ones. I hope this is of some help.

What a fantastic holiday, we would recommend it to everyone, the location was great 5 minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to all the nightlife, with lots of restaurants on the beach en-route. In some places the beach doubles up as a car park and road so beware. The accommodation was good but most of our time was spent being entertained by the the manager, Sly Stallone lookalike - Anthony (don't leave girlfriend or daughter alone near him) - he's a bit of a charmer. Anthony and his family were excellent hosts and we will be returning in the near future.
Anthony - would you have really shot me if I had thrown you in the pool?
Top tip if you book this hotel - only expect 1 roll of toilet paper for the whole week - no exceptions.

My boyfriend and my sister and her partener were there in june 2002,
we had a fantastic holiday the pool and rooms were excellent, 5 mins walk from the beach, about 10 mins from the main strip of bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and the complex was loooked after very well. The weather was fab and we all would go back tomorrow if we could and would definatley reccomend them to anyone.thanx for a lovely holiday!!!

Great Hotel. Great Pool. Laganas beach is a bit dirty but Kalamaki is great, just 10 mins walk along fram Laganas Beach.

Try the Nudest Beach at the very far end of Kalamaki Beach it was a real buzz going nude for the first time. We will all do it again !!!

First in Greece this year and had an excellent time. The appartments were in good location and had a very clean swimming pool. The best part of the holiday was that fact that Tony and his family were fantasic hosts and created a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Hi Tony thanks very much Cashee and Jo.

great apartments and a cool pool area let down by the idiots from c*mbria drowning everyone trying to play head tennis in the pool! nightlife a bit tacky and brash, cheers bar on the beachfront was the pick for me, but either hit the vodka red bulls, or watch out for the pygmies, as the music is so chilled out, you're likely to be struck down by narcolepsy! all in all, we had a "bootiful" week in the sun.... (and rain).

WE'D DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THE DIVINA TO ANYONE - GREAT LOCATION AND POOL AREA, FAR ENOUGH AWAY FROM THE MAD NIGHTLIFE BUT CLOSE ENOUGH TO WALK TO THE BARS AND RESTAURANTS. What can I say? Divina was brilliant, we went last year and it was just as good. Antony you are an absoulte star I couldn't say thank you enough for all the help you gave me, you are a very good friend I hope I hear from you soon. The apartments are basic yes but they have all you need and air conditioning is being installed next year I think. The pool is fabulous the island is amazing and the bar is brilliant. Dina sorry I didn't get to say good bye. If anyone reads this please please give my love to everyone out there and I hope to come back next year with my boyfriend. I can really say that this place is brilliant and I heard nothing but good things about it when I was there. Thank you for helpong to make my holiday such a good one.

My wife and I made a late booking for a week in Laganas at the beginning of July, and I have to say that we couldn't have picked a better place. The Divina rooms are very basic, but are spacious and clean. Don't expect to be able to do a lot of cooking, because with just two hot-rings and no food preparation surfaces, you will struggle. The fridge is a standard size, and even had an ice-box, so you can keep stocked up with cool drinks and chill that excellent Zakynthos wine :) There is no air conditioning, but fan hire is just 2E per day, and I would recommend you get one straight away as the nights are very, very warm. There are approx 30 rooms on 3 floors, and all had balconies overlooking the olive groves. The walk to the beach is about 200m. The centre of Laganas is a 10 min walk away. Far enough to be able to escape the club goers, but also close enough for when you want to join in the fun. Would we stay at the Divinas again? Without hesitation..yes!!

I was looking to book these apts for my daughter and her boyfiend for a week in Aug and i had been searching for information on the web and i came across this web page and all the comments which people made and as soon as i saw them i said book it everybody seems to have nothing but glowing reports about the Divina, Just a few questions how long does it actually take to walk to the centre of Laganas? and all the livley bars, also are there enough sun loungers situated around the pool area?.

Have these apartments got air conditioning and are they studio apts or with a separate bedroom. Cheers.

Hi antony, we just came back yesterday and had a brill time, we were there last year also but didnt stay in davina but just over the road(olive grove apartments)and president this year, just wanted to get a message to antoni its andy, louise and lewis this year we had his mam and dad and lewis's mate with us, we were meant to call back to see you b4 we came home but lewis's mate broke his toe and couldnt walk far so were sorry, but hoping to come again in 2004 as were getting hitched in dominican rep next year so email me on sashacummings@fsmail.net if you can bye for now andy

i'm going to stay at the divina studios in june and i've been advised the nearest pool is 200 mtrs away and 1.5kms from the beach,what is the pool like that you can use? is the beach nice and do you have to get a taxi? i'm really worried as i booked the wrong holiday for 4 of us as the rest wanted tsivili, please help me

We stayed at Divina at the beginning of September and had a brilliant time. Anthony is completely mad and made sure our holiday was memorable. Jamie the Libra Rep was always on site and very helpful, he did take quite a lot of stick from all of us but took it all in good faith, might see you around Braintree sometime Jamie. Anyway as for Anthony all I can say is keep your daughter's locked up as he is a bit of a charmer. I'm sure someone will be going to Divina before the end of the season, if so please tell Anthony we are waiting to find out when he is coming over and where we are all meeting up. Divina is wicked, i went with my best friend, and we really enjoyed it! If you're into cooking for yourself loads the tiny kitchenette can be a prob, but if you don't mind loads of pasta then its fine! we loved our room, thought the pool was lush, and we actually liked the music (!) The beach is gorgeous, and whilst they advise you to get taxis into Laganas, it only takes 10 mins to walk it. A definite thumbs up!!!

Great location for those who want to be close to the nightlife (10 minute walk along the beach) but who also enjoy a few hours sleep at night. The surroundings are lovely and there is a quiet beach 300 yards away with plenty of tavernas and bars for those who don't fancy a night mingling with bladdered, rowdy 16 year old kids who are on their first holiday without Mum and Dad. Despite what the current brochure says, Divina actually now has its own pool (2 months old) which is lovely, and a pool side cocktail and snack bar. The snack bar food is really nice and the cocktails cheap (£2). For those who are looking for a quiet day by the pool - go to the beach. Anthony has a favourite CD which he puts on rather loudly and on a loop. Trust me when I say you will hear it at least twice in a day. Dodgy Euro techno is not my ideal music at 11am - watch out for "Dance with the Devil", it WILL drive you mad. Definitely not an ideal place to take very young children on holiday - they won't sleep, as a young couple found out whilst I was there. Divina appartments are clean, but have the typical one or two lights broken, mosquito oil stains up the walls etc. I would just say watch out if you are on the ground floor - everyone seemed to complain and ask to be moved . . . Overall, a great destination for families with older kids who want to meet the happy medium. As for Anthony, well I can see how a 15 year old (or females with repelling legs)would fall for his charm, but anyone else really should know better!

Supperb. There are 3 floors and we were on the top floor overlooking the olive trees. Nice and quiet here but only 10 mins walk into the 18-30 (or 15-20 in my opinion) resort. I agree with the earlier entry in the guest book with respect to the Adams family!! If you are a 'bird' watch out for Anthony - he tries it on with all the girls. He can't last too long smoking 150 fags a day!!! Lovely pool etc. We met some lovely people - I wish I was still out there. Have fun!!

I loved it. I came back on Sunday and I have never wanted to leave a place less. The people are friendly the apartments are clean... the best out of all the hotels my friends were staying in. Excellent bar with everything you could want. It was so friendly and everyone was really helpful. Laganas is great it is the perfect holiday destination with everything you could want. Divina is well brilliant dont worry about anything if you are going there you will have the time of your life. The pool is clean with a really good atmosphere and Antony well I guess you have to meet him p.s. tell him anna says hi! If you are going next year I will see you there I hope!

We got back yesterday and the place is brilliant. Clean rooms, great pool and bar and friendly people working there. So anyone due to go don't worry you will have a great time.

After reading the comments that people had previously posted I was extremely worried about these, however I have just returned and it was great, the new pool is lovely, the people are friendly and it is very clean - so don't worry!

I am there at the moment. Have had a complete overhaul - Rooms clean, good swimming pool - don't worry Ollie you'll have a brill time

The apartments have had a lot of work done over the winter 2000/1 period and are now very clean/fresh and no damp. The owner has built a swimming pool this year which is brilliant or you can walk 10 minutes to the beach. Reading other peoples comments the owner has done a lot since these people where there.

I have just returned from these apartments. They are fine. The rooms are exceptionally clean (room service every day). The outside pool has a bar, which stays open till at least 1 a.m. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal, situated surrounded by olive trees, just 200m from the beach and Laganos centre. With plenty of Tavernas nearby

I'm in the same situation as you Ollie, I've booked myself and some friends into Divina Studios for the first week of July. Any good comments about this place would be appreciated!

I have just booked these Apartments for September, and after reading the comments on this page I am beginning to have some serious doubts about this accomodation. Does anyone out there have anything good to say about these apartments, as I feel I am about to have a terrible holiday before I have even got to the airport.

We travelled June 2000. On arrival at Divina we were greated with the 'Addams family' who could not speak English. 'Lurch' showed us to our room on opening the door the smell of damp hit us straight away, there were flies hovering above the beds and a spider had decided to cool of in the fridge so comfortable was she that half a web was made. The table for bits and pieces had ring marks of oil. This all prompted me to tackle the apartment with a bottle of bleach and my marigolds! We complained the next morning to the Thomson rep as we booked through Just! The sheets were changed 3 days later! Definitely not recommended were off to Laganas again and will give you our comments on the Kostas Studios. Michelle

I agree Vic! We still had a good 1 though didnt we?! And the things that went on in that apartment!!! Best keep them between me & you sweetie!!! Heres to Greece!!(But not the Divina apartments!!!)

If you ever decide to go to Zante, I warn you.Do not come here! The best part of this accomodation was the balcony because it was outside the apartment. Make sure you keep the toilet door closed at all times to keep the smell out, and never walk bare foot on the floor. What a nightmare, but it didn't stop me having a wicked time, it was fantastic!
