me and my boyfriend have just got back from laganas and it was realy picking up, weather was fab 32'c every day. Great if you dont want too many kids around.

me and my 3 best friends went to Argassi last summer in juli and in september. and we had the gretest time. Met some greek boys called Jimmy/dimitris, Johnny/Yannis, Kristos, Gerti, tony, socratis, george and Lefter... Does anyone know any of them? Me and my friend Stine is coming back this summer, the 25th june, staying there for 2 weeks... We're hoping to meet some nice boys, so please write if you're comng at the same time. Otherwise we can only recommend the place, especially "Kiss Bar", "Factory", "Magic Mushroom"... And in Laganas you'll just have to visit "Rescue" and "Zero's"... Hope to see you a Zante...

its me again if anybody sees this and knows denise and trevor ask them to get in touch they had a daughter who let them have a daft dog anyway back to zante we have been twice since but to tsilivi and going again this sept wonderful people and lovely island and beaches get a scooter and see it all go to turtle beach further on than argassi perfect rhodes cannot match this place

this was the first time we had been to greece what a wonderful island to start this journey with we stayed at antonis in kalamaki and met denise and trevor from warrington lost touch with

we have been in June the last 4 years and cannot fault it. also booked for next year. every day is perfect weather. just come back from an extra week in September (12th - 19th). that was good also. slightly cooler and 1 evening of rain.

Went 3rd June for two weeks, weather great, 80's and 90's. Kids a rarity as school hols not yet started. Such a good time, going back Sept 11. Will let you know.

We went to Tsilivi for a week from 19th June and it was great - weather was hot (any hotter and we would have melted) but there was a welcome breeze. Lots of greenery and flowers, lots more bars and nice restaurants (litre of wine with every meal became an essential!), Alamis apartments were fantastic, Red Lion pub was the best bar with the best staff (you must try Yiannis lethal doses of Metaxa!)and basically we would recommend Zante and in particular Tsilivi to anyone and everyone - you will have a fantastic holiday!

Absolutely brilliant! stayed as a family at the Elpida apartments, brill for kids, pool etc, bit noisy but wot the hell! reps of Kozmar wonderful, people at bar not so wonderful except for Spiross who was great! Weather thundery for first two days then sheer bliss and hot, hot, HOT! Beach excellent, good for kids, best beach and resort on the island, we know.... we did the roller coaster car hire trip! visited wreck,, which is just a wreck! Greek night at Mill Bar TERRIFIC experience... be prepared to party! Hi to Julie, Spiros, Nicos and boys there! Jo, Carol, Mike, Danni and Steven xxxx

The first two weeks of June was great time to visit, with the last couple of days getting up to 40+ celsius... I recommend renting a vehicle for one day (bring a hat & a white cover-up if you're using a jeep because there is no roof option for sun-protection...drink water and eat crisps for the salt to avoid Sun stroke!) to see the more mountainous side of the island!

Hi Mandy... I go tomorrow the 17th and im wondering just how dry it is going to be... was highly recommended Zante by a close pal. she is dead if it rains for two weeks! Willow

Warren or any other person out there - just read the weather forecast for Tuesday (the day we arrive) and its not good - 68 degrees and showers! In anyone's experience how long does this last?! Is Zante due for a week of downpours?! HELP!

thanks warren! i am sure as long as it doesn't p**s down with rain i will be happy - just as long as i can get intoxicated, eat big and get a bit of sun! i'll write my opinion here when i get back!

Oh yeah, also don't expect too much sand on the beaches, there is enough but not loads.

The beginning of June for us was great, not too busy and bearably hot. Mandy, look out for Kaliva , a bar at the Planos beach end of the town (on a corner near the Caravel Hotel and the Alexandra Beach Hotel). The men in this bar are completely bonkers and if you are friendly to them and spend time actually at the bar you will benefit. Avoid the Copacabana restaurant unless you have got all night to wait before you can finally finish your meal and go. Good places that we ate in were The Red Lion, The Troc, Premier Taverna, Popeyes, Stamnes and of course - Kaliva for snacks.

My boyfriend and I are going to Tsilivi on TUESDAY! We are staying at the Alamis Apts. We are hoping for a nice sandy beach,plenty of places to drink in that are more lively bars rather than nightclubs and some decent restaurants. Any particular favourites I should keep an eye out for? Mandy

Visited Kalamaki in June 2000. Weather very hot as they were having a heatwave. Very green and dry. Evenings bearable. Occasionally windy. Beautiful place to visit. Beaches wonderful. Going back again this year in June.

Great time to visit. Everything is still green and the flowers are out. It gets hot towards the end of the month but not too hot! Watch out for the little green frogs that suddenly appear everywhere.

We visited alykanes in june it was last year when there was the heat wave even with the very very hot weather it was still great and not as hot in the eveninings as July
