Going for a week in May - will it be lively? Is it near beach? Any restaurants to recommend?
How lively is lively as we planning to take our 60 year old mothers?!
Good food, free SMALL local wine, before 8.00pm. Good choice of food and prices are reasonable.
Good traditional Greek restaurant. Plenty of choice. Excellent value lamb chops. All staff very friendly and helpful.
As someone's already said - the McDonalds of Tsilivi. Pricey for what you get, and dearer than most other restaurants.
Went for breakfast, dinner and tea - lovely every time. Run by a Greek man and his wife (Austrailian maybe?). Good choice of food, reasonable prices, very honest staff. Lovely setting, near beach and very clean.
Good service and food. Free meals for kids before about 8.00pm, so it can get noisy - if you want a nice romantic meal - go a bit later on.
Run by Kostas and his son Dennis (who did all of the work!). Good cocktails. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Nice place for the first and last drink of the evening. Normally quite quiet, but gets busy if there is a big football match on! They also own Tsilivi Watersports. Take a business card from one to the other and get 10% off!
Possibly one of the best Chinese restaurants we have ever been to. Food and service fantastic. Cannot give enough praise. Good choice of food at very good prices.
Food and service very good. Stopping doing breakfast soon as wife is pregnant! Well worth a visit for lunch and evening meal.
Good kebabs at cheap prices, only real kebab shop in centre of Tsilivi. Only problem is - doesn't open til about 6-6.30pm - too late for an afternoon snack!
Excellent trip if you are interested in ancient history. Site of one of the seven wonders of the world. Best to take your own bottled water. We booked with Dionysis Tours - cost about £20 and we had two guides - one on coach and one round Olympia. Both were excellent.
Trip itself was good value for money, but food and drink on the boat were way over-priced! Guide (with grey, curly hair and beard) very knowledgable and gave bonus talk on turtles! If you are not good at sailing then DO NOT do this trip. Weather was good when we went and one of party of three was sick! Very choppy at Shipwreck.
Have these people never eaten anywhere else? This is the worst food we've ever had to pay for. Food was reheated and processed. Typical bad english pub grub. Sat at the front, strong smell of sewerage as main drain is at front of restaurant. The Cats Whiskers is certainly not the Dogs B******s!!!
Stopped in front appts which were the best ones. Very clean, but don't change towels very often - maybe 1-2 per week. Have a shower early - when appts are full, hot water goes v. quickly - we had no hot water for last 2-3 days! Occasional noise from Paradise Bar and main road (and dog across road barks non-stop) but you soon get used to it.
I think there are two Filoxenia Appts - one new one, which looks lovely, but is quite a way out, and one which looks a bit older, but is in a very good location near Tom & Johns and near the beach.
Second time we've been with Manos and everything was great. Apartment was just as in brochure. Rep was very knowledgable. We've booked to go away with them later in year and we would recommend them. Good value for money. They specialise in some of the smaller properties.
