we stayed all inclusive here with jmc. the bar staff where tight with the drinks, only allowing you to take 1 at a time despite the queues. those staying on a b and b basis, and therefore, because they were waving money for drinks at the bar staff got served first. there wasn't a very good choice of food and after a week we were sick of it. fotunately most of the nearby cafes do a full english breakfast with toast, orange juice and tea or coffee for about â£2.00. the worst thing was the smell. rooms at the back of the hotel were worst as that's where the sewage treatment thing was. you couldn't leave your windows open for it. a word of warning to those with small children - the pool is unsup**vised and deep. my daughter got out of her depth the first day we were there. on the plus side, the location was excellent, within walking distance of pubs clubs and beach, but far enough away to be quiet at night. best asset was undoubtedly mike and sally in charge of entertainment who gave 110% effort, and made sure you enjoyed yourself.
If you want to see the whole of the Island in one day, this is the one for you. There is something for everyone. We visited a wine factory, where you can buy bottles as you leave. A village where they sell lace and rugs etc at half the price they are in town. A monastry and a church ( you have never seen as much gold in one place at one time!) We made a scenic stop for photo and videos, you could see the whole island as well as neighbouring Islands. We saw the shipwreck from above(slightly scary it was a long way down). Highlight of the trip is undoubtedly the optional boat trip. For about £3.00 you get around half an hour in and around the caves on the coast. They are quite spectacular. The water is also the most gorgeous colour turquoise I have ever seen. The trip lasts all day but it's well worth it.
I liked it because it was still very hot (although it rained once!!) and because it's out of season it's cheaper. That's the main thing when you have 3 kids!!
What can you say about a chemist? They sold ibuprofen which was what my mam wanted so I guess thats good enough for us.
We didn't actually eat here but we had a few drinks. They were reasonably priced and extremely strong. (Don't go swimming after you've had a couple in here!!) The staff were friendly, especially the waitress who was English and always pleasant.
