We returned on the 15 August after a brilliant holiday. These apartments are typical for Greece, basic but functional. The message before this says it all. We had no problem with Maestros staff except that one waiter tried to get my just 16 year old daughter to go out with him, she was quite disgusted as he was older than me and we stopped going there at her request. The beach was only accross an non busy road and although only a thin beach it was quite nice. The whole bay is very slowly sloping and you can get quite a way out before you reach your depth. The cleaners needed a good kick up the bum as they seemed to spend more time arguing than they did working. But overall a good place. Some things that have not been previously mentioned are that there is a small internet cafe just inside reception, Two large TVs conected to PS2's that you can hire by the hour and a large screen TV that shows the sunday Eastenders (for the soap addicts). The owner never spoke to us but his wife is very friendly and helpful. The Rep is very good and helpful and a credit to JMC. I would definatly consider going back there.
We mainly ate here for our breakfast (we'll more like dinner) as one of the waiters although friendly was a bit of a pest where my just 16 year old daughter was concerned so we stopped eating there in the evenings at her request. You get 10% off if you are a resident of the Akardianos Apartments.
We only ate here once, the food, service and price were good but it just didn't have anything extra to make me want to go back there again. They also rent boats out and we had one of their small boats for a whole day. It was nice but I would suggest that you only go for the half day.
We only ate here once the food and service were OK. The view was excellant! The prices were a little bit high considering all the competion.
Thanks to the chemists! I had a sevear reaction to a mozzi bite and needed some anti hiso whatsits very urgently. I expected to be standing there diing mozzi impressions and trying to explain the effects of this in a Lionel Blair style but was supprised when I just asked for them and she gave them to me. Judging from the state of my arm I'm sure she instantly knew what it needed. I only had to pay about 3 euros which was very cheap (boots take note)
We had our first trip cancelled due to bad weather, we rebooked a few days later but the sea was still rough around the top end and very few people were not ill. They couldn't safely stop at the shipwreck but did do into the largest cave front first (and he did go right in). The caves are not realy caves as I would perceive them but more like dents in the cliffs. The boat was nice with a large airconditioned lounge with a Bar and a snack bar on the next deck. Although only cheap I would not recomend this trip to anyone that gets boared easly or suffers from sea sickness. The trip was made worse by the fact that there was a large number of Italian slobs ( I have nothing against Italians) that were loud, one of them kept leaning over my daughter to shout through the window to his friends. He soon stopped when I told her very loudly that if he does it again to elbow him where it hurts. He must have heard this as he didn't do it again.
