The walk up the hill is a bit of a pain - after 2 weeks you get used to it!! The rooms are basic but clean and the view from the balcony is beautiful. A short walk into town and the beech and very quiet at night.
Cheesy music and drinks weren't that expensive in comparison to a lot of the other bars. Only problem we found was that is was full of kids!! Still I was usually to pissed to remember anyway!
Argassi isn't a beach resort anyway so we didn't really expect much. However it was generally clean and the sea is really nice. There are plenty of nicer beaches which are easily accesible by car/moped.
Just spent 14 days in Argassi with my girlfriend. Very nice resort, mainly aimed at couples and families which suited us. Plenty of excellent restaurants and the prices were much better than over here. Nightlife was fairly lively with most bars open till 3 am giving plenty of drinking time! Beach isn't up to much but I'd recommend getting a car/moped and exploring the rest of the island.
Flight on the way out was good and we arrived early and were picked up straight away. The flight home was a nightmare. It took us over 2 hours just to get checked in. There were three other flights leaving at about the same time as ours which meant there was only one person on the desk. Quite why all of the tour operators run the flights at the same time I don't know. Once we'd gone through passport control we were in a smelly and dirty departure lounge for about 3 hours. Be warned if you are delayed make sure you have some Euros on you for drink/food as there are no banking facilities in the departure lounge. I know it wasn't Libra's fault but the airport needs some updating to cope with the demand.
There is only one cash point in Argassi so I' recommend taking travellers cheques as most supermarkets/shops will change them for you with no commission. I'm not sure if Darren means it is an hours walk to Zante Town and an hours walk back. We did the round trip in about 40 minutes - despite our rep saying it was "a good 45 minutes away!"
