we are a party of 10 plus a baby. can anyone tell us are the apartments spacious enough for us all? is the beach sandy and does the childrens pool have easy access?

our holiday is getting nearer and i was wondering if there are towels provided in the apartments? as i can see there is alot of things that you have to hire can you get away with using your own kettle, hairdryer etc..

we came back from alykes last wednesday, we all had a great time.. the beach was fantastic for children, gently shelving and sandy. lisa and lydia at the palm tree snack bar were very friendly as was freddie from the alykes watersports.you must go to montes and try some of their cakes and pastries..mmmm delicious!!by far the best place to eat in alykes is the vineleaf great food (including proper chips) and lovely staff.the couple that run the alykes park shop were very helpful even giving us lessons in greek.. if you venture into alykanas the best place to eat is the great dane (aka the original pie shack or toms place) the nightlife is very low key at this time of the year but probably buzzing more in the height of the season.

we visited the cheers bar on a number of afternoons and evenings throughout our stay. great atmosphere and even better staff, linda was very friendly. the kids enjoyed choosing and watching the films, they said it was better than the cinema!!

excellent coffee, just what we needed some mornings, our son Rhys fell in love with lydia, pity he's only 6!!

food was fab, portions enormous,service was really good and the prices were excellent. what more need we say!!! except its a must.

this is definately the best place to eat in alykes. the welcome was warm from all the staff, the food was fantastic, they even accomodated our son by cooking him something that was not on the menu. full marks to all and keep up the good work.

the beach was fantastic for the children,the water was shallow and very warm but quite salty.we had great fun trying all the different watersports on the beach. plenty of bars and sunbeds but we liked the palm tree best.
