Went with Dionysus - bad move. We were put on the wrong boat which was HUGE and full to bursting - at least 500 on board and I am not joking. The prices on board were astronomical - 12 euros for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks. It was a very long day - the scenery was amazing and the swim stops were fine - with a walkway onto the beach at the wreck - but we did sail off leaving a family behind who had to be rescued by the coastguard.... Getting on the bus when we got off the ship was a nightmare. We did not get on the bus we arrived in - we were just told to find a bus with our destination written on the front!!! Our best trip was on a tiny little boat with one other family into the blue caves. 5 euros each and worth a lot more.
We got back on Sunday. Oh my God the heat!! Looking at the forecasts it said 32-34...that must have been in the fridge, because it was 42 around the pool of the Admiral!!! Our fave eatieries were Castaways, Premier and Tiffanys and the worst was Nostalgia where we were served (after an hour's wait) raw chicken..... Didn't visit the beach, but hired a jeep and toured the island which was lovely and then did the round the island boat trip. It was good to see the scenery from both viewpoints. Argassi was good for us. We have two mid-teenagers and felt ok with them visiting the Tropicana Centre to watch films and play pool whilst we were next door in the apartment. Do be aware that they will be served alcohol everywhere if that is something you are concerned with. Our 14 year old was served without question. We would go back - but not in August - TOOOO HOTTTTT!!!!
I hate heights, but even I could not resist this - it was stunning. The big shock however was when we went on the boat a week later and looked up at the platform from the sea - that is when you realise how precarious it is!! Take my advice - go on the platform first, I'm glad I did because had we gone the other way around I would never have got on it and I would have missed those stunning views. I think that heaven must look very like the coast of Zante.
