Alykanas was very nice, the beach is lovely and sandy and the water is crystal clear. We went in September which was perfect but it probably gets quite busy in July and August. EVERY restaurant has loads of English options, down to a full cooked breakfast, but there are some more traditional tavernas to be found which we prefered. If you are staying more than a week you may want to hire a car as it is quite small and the bus service is dubious!

Definately worth going on. The scenary is lovely and Spirios is very sweet, as are the raisens you get to try at his taverna! PLenty of his wine to try as well. We also saw the 108 year old lady, with remarkably dark hair for a lady her age!

GO ON THE TRIP WITH GRAHAM. Bokk through dionysis tours. It was an excelent trip, swimming in the deep crystal waters was particularly fantastic. We didn't see a turtle but we were there in September and it was still interesting, especially as Graham is so enthuisiastic. Whatever you do, do not go on a trip that lets you get on Turtle island, it is helping to make the turtles extinct, and they are very close already.

By the sounds of the comments we were very lucky at Danny's! Our studio was very clean, and was cleaned every day, it was also very quiet and the other guests seemed nice. The cooking facilities areextreamly basic, it has to be said, but we never planned to cook! The pool is spotless as well. The lady in the shop was always lovely and chatted to us quite alot, we didn't knowly get short changed! we did think, however, that in the height of summer it wouldn't have been so nice, full of screaming kids!!!

Excellent, ate here twice in a week. Feels very authentic, which is quite rare in alykanes! Staff were lovely, especially Nikos, who gave us free wine!

We didn't eat dinner here but had lunch on several occasions and each time was lovely. Great service and delicious, real tasting greek food. reasonable prices and a lovely view of the bay. This taverna has been there for 35 years, pre resort days!

Everyone says it is excellent because it is! have fish there because it is the best place to, and the setting is lovely. Spirios the horse man who drives you up is lovely, he let me drive his cart.
