Had some really lovely meals at  Neraida,what a lovely restaurant and friendly staff plus nice cocktail Blue Lagoon

 Been to Alykanas for 5 years now, one week and two week holidays. only 3 occassions have we eaten at others places. We are coming back soon just for the ambience and friendliness of eating at the Neraida. See you next week!

Great location, fantastic food, lovely family atmosphere. Lovely, friendly people especially Zak the waiter who gave us a ride home each night.

Who on earth goes to the most traditional Greek restaraunt on Zante and orders a toastie, please, this is an amazing place to eat. Location, service, and real Greek food, do not sit at the Naraida if you want egg and chips - it is not for you.

Great setting, just off the nicest part of Alykanas beach.  We stopped for lunch on our last day.  Menu is large, but we weren't overly impressed with our toasties, and wouldn't go back.

Nice restaurant with a good location, right on the beach front. The service took a while to warm up and I would never say we experienced the friendly nature you can find in greece. Food was pleasant, but not special enough to bring us back there for a second time.

My husband and I were recommended this restaurant by Nikos @ Memories (also a lovely eaterie). We had a fantastic meal there and returned again before we left for home. The Plaki is absolutely divine, and the beef stifado also amazing. The hospitality we experienced was second to none, by far one of the best places we ate on this holiday and we'll definitely return when go back to Zante.

Having been to Alykanas/Alykes for the last 12 years, we had never been to the Neraida for a meal, but decided this year to give it a try mainly becuase of the recommendations on this site.  The views and sea breeze were great - the meal - average - what concerned me most though was that we were not given the bill - simply told that we owed x Euros.  Given that we were with friends, we did not want to quibble, but I have never come across this in any taverna before.  I have to say that we are unlikely to eat here again - maybe have a sundowner though!

Found the Neraida on our first afternoon in Alykanas. We were made welcome by all of the staff plus all of the regular expats, who even sang happy birthday to my wife. As it was very early season it was great to find a taverna that was open and is in fact open all year round. The great food, great hospitality, live Greek music and superb view over the harbour with the setting sun made it our favourite taverna in the village. We found the peace and quiet compared to the strip just what we were looking for. Cheers to all the Ex Pats and here's looking forward to seeing you all again next year, maybe for keeps.

Thanks for several long and lovely lunches. A very nice restaurant with good service and good staff I would recommend it to anyone and look forward to repeating the experience soon.

Had a fantasic time at Neraida . We found this Gem of a resturant on our second night in Alykanas and returned as often as we could.

definitley the best greek restuarant in alykanas....sells amazing deliciuos food and the family r so lovley....nikos and peter playing live greek music everynight is amazing to watch and a joy to listen to...miss u nickos and kosta....will be back in october love rachie, yvonne and family x

Stayed at the Valais Hotel, so this was a brilliant place to visit - can't believe we only went there twice in the fortnight !!

Just got back from idyllic 2 weeks in Alykanas with family.  Neraida was excellent.  We had 3 evenings with Costas and family and 12 of us were happy each time we went.  Atmosphere and view unrivalled in Alykanas. Greek music and great banter with staff.  Even celebrated a birthday there - Traditional food and English food kids were welcomed .  Introduced another couple to restaurant on our last night and they were also very impressed.  It is well worth the walk along the beach. 

Had a meal here when the weather was not too good a bit windy, so the plastic covers were down, but it did not spoil the atmosphere, lovely and very good food.

Just got back from our sixth time in Alykanas, we love the place. The Neraida is our favourite restaurant, we went every lunchtime, and every other night. Soula and Nicos and all their family make everyome welcome, and they have the friendliest staff - Our thanks to Alexis, Christos, Andreas and the rest. The food is delicious especially Lamb in the oven, with those roast potatoes. Going back in May and August next year.

 This was our 19th year at the Neraida and would like to say thank you to Stakis and family for our lovely meals and atmosphere at one of the best resturants in Alikanas.

this place is the best resturant ever

We came in June and celebrated my parents 45 wedding Anniversary, we would have been happy to eat here every night, the sunset and atmosphere is like Heaven on Earth. The Food is excellent, the Red Snapper caught especially MUST be tried. excellent service from everyone Dennis and Family make you so welcome. And we could sit and listen to the Greek music forever. Thankyou Nikos for serenading the Happy Couple it will remain A very special memory in our lives. Also recommend the beach in front, as all you have to do is cross the lane for lunch if you fancy and truly the best Frappee on the Island.

Love the food and music and Christos the waiter is good with us kids. we could have greek or the odd English meal if I wanted, even kids meals. The fish is nice and its all fresh. We went in June and it did get busy sometimes but we never had to wait.
