We stayed at the President during the 2nd week of October 2003 and found it to be the best time. No evening noise (room 312) and it wasn't overcrowded. Prices had dropped due to the approach of the end of season but hardly any restaurants were closed - just a couple of bars. Food and service at Greek Islands beats all the others hands down, cocktails at Chevy's are really nice and we enjoyed an all you can eat at Fatsos - plenty of choice and reasonably healthy. From the other reviews it seems we hit on going at this time in the year - lovely warm weather but without the madness, noise and humidity of peak season. President staff are all lovely, ask your name and they even remember it! We are planning to go in 2004 either in May or October.

Me and a friend went to Lagana last October when it was nearing the end of the season. We had a great time chilling out and found the local bar and restaurant owners very accommodating (got free cocktails most the time!). The beach is below average but if you can find a spot like we did where the sand was soft then its fine. It's only a narrow beach but it's a plus point as you don't have to go far for a paddle. We walked the length of the beach and found it relaxing and also lead to us other resorts. It's not dirty but some areas are best avoided (like the end near the strip) where it's a bit hard.

Myself and a friend went to Lagana in October last year and have booked to go back this May. We stayed at President apartments. For you first timers to Lagana there is lots to do both night and day. All the bars are appealing, we hunted down the ones that offered the cheapest cocktails! As for places to eat, we loved the hospitality and food at Greek Islands. We also took time out on a day trip aroud the island which covered the main town, shipwreck, blue caves and secluded beaches. The island is beautiful - not too built up like other resorts. The only thing i will mention is be careful with your bags/purses/wallets as there is the odd pickpocket about - watch out for the mopeds as they could grab your bag. Apart from that you'll all have an excellent time - you'll wonder why you haven't been before!

Diane we were your next door neighbours in 304! Was it your partner who was shouting for bog roll at 8.30 one morning?!?!? Had absolutely fantastic time again. This is our second time at these apartments and we're thinking of going next May aswell. It was better than in October as more bars and shops were open and there was more of atmosphere at night. Cocktails are 2.50 euro and you get a free shot (more if you are nice to the staff!) We did the day trip to Kefalonia and it rained! Seems nice there but we prefer Zante. To those thinking of staying at the President - you will find no complaints. The rooms were cleaned almost daily, the pool has a fountain and loads of sunbeds, the food is gorgeous, the staff are fantastic and the location is about 10 mins from the main strip so its nice and quiet. You'll love it.

We got back from Zante on 21/5/04. G-Spot makes excellent cocktails. Would have liked to have tried the fishbowl but ran out of money! A big thanks to James who lent me and my mate some Euros so we could scrape together enough money for one last cocktail between us! Music is ok, DJ plays requests if you ask. Thanks for a brill time. This was our second time back to Zante, we'll definately be back. C u soon.

Just got back from Zante (May) and also went in October last year. Both times were good but we prefer May time as all the shops and bars were opening and everything was clean and the sun was out for longer. October was ok, had 4 days of sun and a mild storm on the last day - went on the beach to 'feel' it! May is better as it's warm, still cool at night like October, but according to the locals a cold night means a hot day! They were right aswell. When we book up again we'll go for May - later in the year will be too hot and too packed for us.

Please move this restaurant to the UK! I'm missing my stuffed peppers and tomatoes, and also the fantastic fruit salads. Can't wait to come back... To all the guys, Angela, Peter, Nikko, etc etc, top-class service everytime. If you go to Laganas don't miss this place on the beach front.
