Hi Joanne, if you buy sterling travellers cheques here, before you go , you pay commision, but if you buy Euro travellers cheques, then they take a small commision when you cash them. For the first time ever this year, we only took Euros cash, so we didn't have any of the hassle. If you take care, and get a safety deposit box as soon as you can, then its no different from having large amounts of cash in England. Hope this helps. Have a great holiday.
Hi Lesley, my family and I (five of us) stayed in a 2 bedroomed apartment last year, and this year. I did put a picture of the view on last year (room 221), the only bad thing about this room, was the miniscule balcony, I have never seen such a small one!!!!!This year, we had room 220, which was directly opposite, much bigger balcony, not quite such a nice view, but it wasn't at all bad. These rooms were in the main block.Cant help with the flight situation, but I think if they have a room available, you can pay to have it later, hope this helps.
Andy, we're going on the 24th Oct, but it would seem that we now have to stay in Tsilivi, we are VERY DISSAPOINTED! Arkadianos has decided to close early. Have you got any influence in changing their mind?!!!!
Does anyone know how far it is from Tsilivi to Aghios Sostis, which is near Laganas. How is the public transport.
Andy, hope you have a good time, and dont spend the week sleeping under the stars!!Won't everthing in Ag Sos be shut as well? We might attemp to visit on Mon 25th, we would like to see our friends at Maestro's, other than that, we will be content to stay in Tsilivi, after all, we just want some SUN, R & R. Might bump in to you somewhere, anyway, have a good time.
Andy CHEERS!!!! I'll keep you to that>!!!!!!!
Andy, are you staying at Arkadianos?
We ate here every meal (breakfast and dinner)for one week, and highly recommend the food,Spiros and his staff are all very friendly, service was first class.
Lesley, we, (being my 17 year old daughter)and me, have just returned on Sunday, after a totaly relaxing hol.We had a one room studio on the ground floor. It had one double bed, and two singles, plenty of room for two, but may be crowded if there was 4 of you. All the rooms appear to overlook the pools, there are two.Every day, they put on a film for the kids at 6pm, and I think they had other stuff going on through the day. As it was end of season, it was probably limited. The nearest beach is 10mins round the corner, the main Tsilivi beach is about 20mins, this is where you will find all the water sports. The apartments are at the far end of the resort, in a quieter part. But there are plenty of shops, bars, resteraunts etc if you walk into town, which takes about 15mins if you stroll.Hope this helps, if you want to know anything else you can email me on:steph.hayter@ntlworld.com.
