My comment is that horse riding is highly enjoyable I agree, but I would say that before going horse riding on holiday it's worth giving some serious consideration to your safety and possible injury. Horses are unpredictable, and it would be very unfortunate to suffer a serious/minor injury whilst on your holiday. I'd say take lessons in the UK first and learn how to ride. Even the most experienced riders have accidents - the danger for novices is much higher.
We arrived back in UK on Sunday 23rd October 2005. We were staying at the Phoenix Beach so this restaurant was just around the corner from us (Phoenix Beach and Zante Maris are adjacent). We overlooked this restaurant for the first week and tried for the first time the second week. We were gutted we'd left it so late, food here is of excellent quality, the service is excellent, it's an extremely clean and pleasant setting and sitting outside can be quite romantic due to the quieter location. The price is slightly more expensive than some places but you definately get what you pay for! For 35 Euros we had starters, mains, carafe of wine, liqueur coffees, one Coke and a Martini and Lemonade. The cheapest meal in comparison was 20 Euros at Koukos (also a good meal). Try the Kokkinisto at Rania's it's delicious. We ate here 5 times in the end and it was the best restaurant we had eaten at.
This restaurant has a nice setting up some steps opposite Popeye's. Our first meal here was good, I had the Lamb with Pasta (Pastitsio) and hubby had the beef in red wine sauce (Kokkinisto). The second visit my husband ordered Moussaka which had been badly warmed up in the microwive as it was hot in parts and cold in others, I had a pizza (which as Contessina advertises as an Italian Pizzeria) I thought would be good but it was an uninspiring frozen base job. Shame the second meal marred the pleasant experience of the first. The waiters were friendly and the service was good.
We weren't impressed with the Chinese buffet, it was lukewarm and very bland, also the area where you got your buffet from smelled of wet dogs and was a bit dark and dingy. Was also quite expensive for the food on offer and the quality. The staff were friendly though.
We had quite a few breakfasts here as they were DELICIOUS! Also the full English was large with two sausage, two bacon, two eggs, two toast, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes! Also try their freshly squeezed orange juice - very nice. The staff were very friendly and this place has a lovely location off the main road. All in all very pleasant and delicious food! Highly recommended!
We had a very enjoyable meal here, and also very reasonable at 25 Euros for starters, mains, bottle of wine and soft drinks. Food was of excellent quality here, I had the Mezze and hubby had the Lamb Kleftiko which were both very good. Staff were very friendly.
