we first stayed at the katerina hotel in 1995 (july)we were a party of 7 of which one was a baby, my wife and i went back again in may 2000, and on both occasions we had a brilliant time,the restaurants were very good especially the green frog,not only was there good food,great staff but also a good karioke. the only restaurant we would not,repeat not recommend is the the place on the left opposite the entrance to the katerina hotel,anyone going there cannot fail to enjoy it

i made a mistake in my comments about the restaurant next to the katerina hotel i finished by saying "anyone going there would not fail to enjoy it " i meant the katerina hotel not the restaurant.

my wife and I stayed at the katerina hotel (self catering)in september 2000 and it was superb, although we ate out at some restaurants which were quite good we tended to eat at the green frog,which we found superb on all counts,mandy and nikos ( the owners )and the young staff were very pleasant considering how hard they worked and the food and the prices were the best we found in argassi,and if you like kareoke then the green frog is the best

My comments are about Diana's taverna it was part of the Parrot bar/taverna but is now owned and run by an english family Graham his wife diana and their two daughters,the food and service was excellent especially the roastie with either pork,lamb or beef also the succulent rack of lamb and to finish off apple pie and custard. good luck to the future Graham and family. we were a party of seven who called in at the amigos,and we never went back,the prices of the drinks were exhorbitant e.g 1000 drachmas for a can of tonic,and we thought the beer had been tampered with,it was the worse we had tasted in laganas. el tel

we too ate (or attempted to eat) at china town restaurant not only did it look un-hygienic the actual selection was very poor and scandalously overpriced,the curry was not typical chinese curry it was made with hot chilli's,in short for a chinese restaurant it was a joke,definitely one to steer clear of. el tel
