Don't get me wrong...I love Zakynthos. It has many good aspects and a few bad ones. One bad one is the departure lounge.

For a country with an economy assisted by tourism, it is a shame that the one lasting impression, as you leave a beautiful island, is the departure lounge at D.Solomis Airport. Over the past four years the departure lounge has remained a bit of a joke, a sight to behold, a euphamism for the Greekness of bad management.

A very big thank you to all the staff at Planet Studios. For anybody wanting to have  a relaxed but fun holiday, this is the place for you. It's quiet through the day and lively at night. The lager is cold, the cocktails delicious and the music loud. You will also have the best of European football and coverage of most high profile sporting events : - cricket, rugby, golf....if it's on satellite...make your request.

Good food, great service, excellent prices, brilliant Greek music, wonderful staff.

June is the best time to be on Zakynthos, great weather, not too busy and the days are soooooo long.....I was there for two weeks and in my mind it felt like a month....realy great time to visit. Hire a car and get about a bit...the flowers are so beautiful and fill the world with colour .....and the island is so green and the roads are quiet.....get up in tree line on the mountains and breath in.......so pretty
