Hi,we [6 off us]will be at the Contessina on the 30th of August,can anyone advise us what to take currency wise,ie euro cheques,.sterling cheques or cash, euros or english pounds.

we stayed here for 2weeks,30thAug/13Sept 07,we must say this is the best hotel  have  stayed at in Greece.The hotel was spotless,rooms were cleaned every day,and we mean cleaned not just a quick wipe round,sheets/towels changed 2/3 times a week,pool and pool area cleaned daily.The staff were very friendly, polite and very helpfull.Good pool bar good food and prices,all in all a great hotel with a good location could not fault it.We hope to be back next year 08 and see you all again.

Hi,we have just booked these apartments for September 09,we have been to Tsilivi before but we are not sure where these apartments are or what they are like,we have booked into complex 3 can anyone give us any idea what to expect as regards to size of rooms-how often the rooms are cleaned etc,are there any facilities to make a cup of tea or coffee etc. Thanks for any information.

Hi i must agree with Amandas comments,we stayed here Sept05 it was great we had a great holiday.We stayed in Tsillivi Sept 07,while we were in Tsillivi we decided to get a taxi to Alykes and go to see Dimitris at  the Apollo,what a shock we all got the place didn't look the same at all,it looked run down and not very clean at all we were thinking of having another holiday there but after looking around the place we changed our minds.We can't understand why Dimitris and family have let Apollo get into this untidy state its a shame but we will not be going back,unless thing change for the better. 

Hi Sophie,we were in Tsillivi Sept 07 we didn't stay here but i dont think you can go wrong where ever you go for a meal or a drink,the menus are all round about the same,we stayed at he Contessina hotel  which is at the other end of the main street from the Mavrias you could have a walk into the Contessina and try out the lovely pool,  we used a lot of the bars/restaurants the only one we thought was bad was the Mediterrane hotel the food was stone cold when they served it so we didn't go again the service wasn't to clever either.We ate at the Zeus/Menir/Popeyes/Giorgios pretty often we did use few more but as i say dont think you can go wrong where ever you go.Take a taxi to Zante town about 6-30 have a walk round till you see the restaurants getting busy then decide  where to eat, we went 3/4times for a meal some good places to eat there plus its a nice night out, i asked at the hotel where to eat in Zante town and they told us the best places to eat.Well i hope you have a great holiday i'am sure you will its a nice place Tsillivi.PS forgot to say we come to the Mavrias in Sept,you will have to post a comment for me to read when you come back.,  

Hi we were here Sept 07 nice place for few drinks,very nice people who run the place always had time for a chat and laugh with us. 

This was our 2nd vist to the Mavrias the first being in Sept 09with our grandaughter Charlotte and we had a great holday.We came back June26th 2011 for our 2nd visit and it was every bit has good as the 1st time.We would like to thank all the staff  for making this such a great holiday,special thanks to Freddie &Katerina for giving our grandaughter Charlote who has learning difficulties such a brilliant holiday, must not forget the greek dancers we would like to thank you all  so much for taking time to have fun with her i doubt if she will ever forget this holiday she loved every minute of the holiday and thanks to Jan&Dave hope you are all there next year

We used the Sweet Revenge 3/4 times on our holiday,we had been here in Sept09 and we thought it was very good then so why not try it again.Its nice to say the food was every bit as good and plenty of it as it was in 09.Service was very good and everyone one was very nice and polite,we would say if you want a nice meal and good service give it a try. We will be back to see you all once again in June 2012

HI Brian&Edwina,Cosmos is not the only tour company to do the Mavrias we have been twice with T.Cook2009,2011, and also booked for 2012 with T.Cook or should i say (Airtours) which is part of T.Cook.This is for anyone who is thinking of going to the Mavrias you wont be dissapointed,see my comments below.   

hi leigh complex 3 is at the back of the Mavrias just to the left from where you stayed through the gateway set in nice gardens  nice and quite, good sized rooms very clean overlooking fruit trees etc,sure you will like complex 3.its a minutes walk from the pool.

   Micheal,as you walk down to the Mavrias off the main road, the bar/pool is on your right,walk further down past bar/pool you will come to a gate way on your right go in there where the gardens and kiddies play area are that is complex 3 we have stayed in complex 3 3times think you will like them.

Sharon C try the Amarylis its about 3/5 mins walk from Mavarias across the road from the Traffic Bar we have been told its ok.
