Fantasia

only ate here  once  that was enough. the free wine was  horrendous. food horrendous. the owner was fairly pleasent but needs to  up date the place and get a better supply  of wine and a new chef.

Its not that bad. I have been to zante 5 times and eaten here about six times its ok and they fill your plate. But stay clear of the free wine it is more like vinegar. One/Two glasses your ok more than that it will hit you. My kids love it as it has all the climbings frames and we had a big plate of Melon to finish off. 

Only ate here once and to be truthful it was what i can only describe as CRAP. This has got to be the worst restaurant in the village.

 We had some great food at Fantasia the service was excellent and the food well presented must say it,s worth a visit.

Just returned from 2 weeks in Alykes 5th June - 18th June.ate at the Fantasia on several occasions,found the food very good and well presented ( plenty of it). Service very good,free wine with the special meals.also free coffee melon or figs at the end of meal.Certainly give this another visit if we return to Alykes.

We ate here twice during our July 2008 holiday and were not disappointed.  We'd eaten here in previous holidays (2006, 2005 and 2004) and always had excellent food.

  

Just returned from our 9th visit to Alykes and  I'm afraid I must have eaten in a different place as the reviews on here don't add up to the place we visited! The food was poor and the service ok.

 The food, wine and service at Fantasia was really good as were the prices. We were a party of thirteen and we were never hastled anywhere to come in and this was our own choiceand as we enjoyed it the first time we went back. In total we went to Fantasia three times. The girls were very happy and helpful and gave us free carafes of wine each time and Ouzo after our meals. We even tried a Bulgarian spirit instead of Ouzo as this country is where we think Denis' wife originated from. Wow! was it strong! Once we had the English breakfast which was excellant value but three eggs were a bit too much! We tried so many different dishes on the menu and they were all very good so I recommend this place and if you want a good reasonably priced meal try it.

Lovely food and a good price. The wine was much better this year!!

Not bad but the Picadilly over the road was better, we were in a large party of 13 all eating together so were probably a nice catch for any of the restuarants. However the harassment every night to come and eat in this restuarant was a bit much and did put us off. The food was good though.

The staff at Fantasia were the best people i have ever met on holiday anywhere especially Demitar the head waiter "Welcome to my restauraunt ! Oldest in Alykes". This guy is brilliant and you would not wish to meet a nicer person.He and the girls made our holiday one to remember for along time. So remember if you are passing Fantasia and your invited in by dimitar ,don't rush passed you will never know what you have missed! All the best Dimitar and girls from the halifax seven !!

Very good cheap and helpful waiter! We only went for breakfast but it was good and not over expensive like a lot of the restaurants where it seemed all they wanted to do was squeeze as much money out of you as they could. Overall we found eating out expensive but a breakfast here was 3.50 euros for a full english with orange juice, tea or coffee and toast! would definetly go again.

We visited Alykes on the 25th May 2006, It was such a relaxing holiday the people were very friendly.

The meals at the Fantasia were excellent and the service was second to none,would recommend this restaurant.

We ate in 65% of restaurants went back here twice, Fantatic. This is the oldest Taverna 1969.  

THIS IS THE BEST RESTAURANT IN ALYKES.ALL MEALS WERE PRESENTED AND PREPARED TO A HIGH STANDARD .HAVING EATEN IN THIS RESTAURANT MANY TIMES I CAN NOT FIND FAULT WITH THE SERVICE OR THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD. the comment below is incomprehensible! we had house rose, which came in a bottle (unlike most other places) and the whitebait starter was delicious. it's also got a playground for kids which is a nice touch.

Excellent restaurant if you enjoy fish dishes. Friendly staff and prompt service. Good quality food and plenty of choice on the menu.

The fish was good, the rest of the meal ineddible. Service was rubbish.

We were very disappointed with our meal.

Only ate here once and found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. We thought the chicken was very salty!

If you like fish this is the place. The meat dishes were not so impressive. We had several excellent meals. Sea Bass was brilliant and a local fish, Dorado I think it was called, was also excellent. Staff were friendly and made us very welcome. We even got a farewell pressy of a litre of wine to bring home with us on our last night!
