I noticed Julie Holden asked about cats around the complex - I have a cat phobia and have booked a holiday here so am hoping Julie did not see many cats around the studios - please let me know!

Can you tell me if it is safe to swim in the sea by the Beach Apartments in Alykanas - are there any strong currents?

Thanks for your reply, Julie - I know the cat situation could change before next year but can you recommend any catless restaurants in Alykanas? I went to Crete this year and found a few suitable places to eat but like you, my husband and children were on cat guard - I only had one experience which spoiled a meal!

Can you let me know if it is best to take euros, British currency or travellers cheques ti Alykanas. Also can anyone recommend any restaurants that don't have cats in the area!

To Alannah Emma aged 15 and Lucie aged 13 will be staying at the village 14th - 28th August so will hopefully meet up with you.
