Sirene (Dollas) Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Denise W

well i am in kalamaki at the moment and yes the sirene is a bit out of the way but i have timed our family walking to the start of the village as i will call it and it takes 10 minutes at a steady pace and 20 to the beach the apartments are spacious but basic but what do we want in a foreign country 5 star ....well if thats what you want go to london and pay the price.i cant comment on the past comments but i did say i would lrt you know how i got on and i am having a fab time a holiday is what you make it..yes i have heard dogs and cockrels but not to the point that it drives you mad and you want to move, once i am sleeping i dont hear a thing and i am quite a light sleeper..come try it for yourself.the managers of this place will do what they can to help you if there are any problems.our rep rachael is great what more can i say........YAMAS

Baccus Grill - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Denise W  (10 October 2004)

we tried many places to eat and found this to be the worst...we were recomended to try here which we did and found the food and service very poor,we all have our own opinions so dont let this put you off try it for yourself

Dias - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Denise W

well what can i say...the food and service here was fab no complaints at all, good prices also good house wine

Mermaids - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Denise W  (10 October 2004)

Tried both breakfast and evening meal here and although it was nice i would say we had just as good food in other places...maybe we hit a bad day but we waited nearly an hour for breakfast and had to ask for our table to be cleared.this was one of the most expensive places for evening meal but still cheap in comparison to the uk so cant complain.

Michaelos - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Denise W

we tried this place after many good reports and found it to be average, yes they were helpful when my daughter did not enjoy the lasagne and they changed it with no extra cost but we found it to be very busy so the personal touch was not there. We had a three course meal which all came one after the other no time to draw breath a bit rushed in our opinion.Think this place is a bit over rated

Sirene (Dollas) Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Denise W

Thanks Lisa,

asked Gregg when we were there if they were for this year as we were there in sept he said he didnt know...just thought this might have been an added luxury not mentioned in brochure....not that i am fussy about tv on holiday just wondering.....what was your apt like?

Sirene (Dollas) Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Denise W

Hi Lisa,

we cant remember what our room no was,we had a two bedroom apartment on the first floor it overlooked the pool facing straight on to the main road, ours was very old fashioned, basic but ok plenty of space...our son had his own studio which seemed to be pretty new but he had no private balcony just the front entrance...we had a fab balcony with doors from both bedrooms, from the poolbar it was on your right hand side it had the big palm sort of tree in front of it.We really enjoyed it and have booked to go again next July, what did you think of the Greek night we had an absolute Ball needless to say we were all rather legless by the end of the night,Gregg was even bringing shots up to the room...yes we did all suffer the next day!!!

Sirene (Dollas) Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Denise W

Hi Lisa,

cant remember our room no, it was on the first floor from the pool bar on the right hand side with a rather large tree in front of it.Our apt was two Bedrooms one double bed and two singles, small kitchen area very basic and old fashioned but plenty of space...we had doors onto the balcony from both bedrooms very spacious. Our son had a two bedded studio just down a few steps from us it was very nice and more modern but he had no balcony only his front entrance with a table and couple of chairs but it did get the sun. What did you think of the Greek Night..we had a ball, needless to say we were all rather legless at the end of the night,Gregg was even taking my husband and son shots up to the room!!yes we did suffer in the morning and will know better next year.....maybe.All in all we had a great time and looking forward to next year already

Hi Lisa

we were there in september last year for three weeks....they did not have karaoke on at that time but it was coming to the end of the season, we have booked up to go next july already looking forward to it

Sirene (Dollas) Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Denise W

Hi Michelle,

we are going back in july this year with our two kids who absoloutely loved this place but they are a bit older and did tend to be happy with the swimming
pool, there is a tv in the bar area which showed cartoons but there is no kids club or anything that we saw anyway and we were pretty friendly with the manos rep who never mentioned any regular activities for younger ones although they did hold a party night which was all for the kids dancing and face paints etc this was a free night offered through tour rep in one of the local bars ours was at grabana grus (not sure of spelling)and all the kids had a fab time and the sirene hold a Greek night which was great and karaoke.  A walk to the beach takes about 20 minutes. Most bars in the village same distance have kids computer/video games which our kids used to enjoy in the evenings. The Sirene is a good place to meet lots of new people i am sure your daughter wont be without friends for long and yourself, it a nice small complex so you tend chat to most people...well i did, being scottish and all,ha ha. Anything else i can help just yell out...............Denise

Denise W          10/10

Well arrived home on Thursday another great week had at the Sirene, The Family are fantastic and make you really welcome, its so laid back great for a chill out week. Yes there is no entertainment the apartments are basic it is a long walk to the beach you do get early morning calls from the local animals but you know what we still like it, you get what you pay for, if you want 5* then pay for it, coming to Greece is not what I call 5* but a thoroughly enjoyable place, Apartment Complex is small so you get to meet lots of other people who you get to know really well even in a week, Its sad that the Sirene has been taken out Holiday Brochures for next year but I will certainly be looking to book Direct Another year over, Thanks to Greg, Timmy, Liri, Norah,Nico and the boys hope you will all be there in 2010.
