Going to stay at the Marelen 18th September for a week can anyone tell me if you get a lot of airport noise & if so what times please,

Does anyone have any experience of how busy the airport is on thursdays at 14.30 local time in September?

Well what can i say,just returned (25/9) it was an ideal location 200m from the beach & a short walk from the resort centre. It was clean comfortable & functionable rented a fridge for the week (well you have to keep those beers cool) cost 30e a tad expensive, didn't need air conditioning as the evenings were cool. Did not make use of the pool or the snack bar but did look nice (prefer the beach & trips) Had a few drinks at the bar & i must say the barman (didn't know his name) but very pleasant as were the rest of the team that ran the hotel keep up the god wk . Would i return? yes i would without a doubt well recomended

We used Kalamaki beach twice it was 200m from hotel (prefer to venture out & explore) it was clean except the fag butts sunbeds are expensive 7e for two had one taverna/cafe which served great English brekkies 4.5e (if you watch Eastenders one of the waiters looked just like Dennis Watts junior) all very polite like all the Greek people the water was warm & clean swam with some little silver fish No distraction from the incoming flights bit of a novelty really

We just returned 25/9 from a week the weather was superb totally cloudless skies all week with temperatures up to 30c during the day the evenings were a little cooler than in July/August but comfortable We were in Kalamaki which was very quiet mostly couples & a few families very relaxing great. Went to Laganas during one day which is like Blackpool on the Med didn't like it I should imagine that is very busy during the peak season

Took our moped from Kalamaki nice ride through the olive groves & windy roads to the lighthouse excellent views of the western side with the crystal blue water & caves lovely taverna on the way with grapes growing above you while you sup a drink in the peace & tranquility of the surroundings

OK the airport isn't up to much but it is functionable & the holiday will be worth it a wonderful island

Good food good service great well done

I had stone cold Mousaka which had no taste, partner had lamb chops which had less meat than a wasp could produce avoid this place like the plague it was CRAP

we visited a couple of times (when i was allowed that was to have a peek at the footie) great for the footie otherwise nothing special

Great place with flowers plants etc great service

Great food service ok had to ask for bread tables to close so felt cramped otherwise ok

Returned 25/9 great resort everything to hand, if you like the nightlife then you need Laganas, Beach was ok we hired a moped and got about a bit great resturants except Castello it was peaceful and tranquil just perfect for couples woild i return? you bet i would
