Just got back after a wonderful week. A Goliath breakfast here was magnificent. Excellent value for money, very tasty, plentiful, and more than enough to keep you going all day ! Sue was a very nice, pleasant and helpful lady, very accomodating for all our food and beverage needs. We ate there 4 times in 7 days, and have not got 1 single complaint. This place is the 1 in Argassi, for a big, filling and very tasty breakfast. Dont miss out folks, give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.
Hope to see you again soon, from

Having read other comments on this restaurant, we were very disappointed to find it was nowhere near as good as people made out. The Crispy Duck starter wasnt bad, but have had a lot nicer in many Chinese restaurants. Main course of sweet and sour chicken, special curried fried rice, were not up to much either. The curry was very weak and lumpy. Only had 1 coke and a bacardi and coke. Was stung for approx 40 Euro's. Would never go back even if we returned to Zante.
Only had breakfast here the once, and i use the term ' breakfast ' very loosely. The bacon was undercooked, even though we asked for it well done. Looked like it had been left in a warm room for a few minutes then served.
Far better places and better value for money. U HAVE BEEN WARNED !
Excellent is the only way it can be described. Ate here 3 times in 7 nights, once a Chinese, twice an Indian. The chinese was ok, tasty, good value. Crispy Duck, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Curried Special Fried Rice were all cooked to perfection. The Indian was fabulous. Poppadom starter, Onion Bhajis were very spicy, Chicken Korma was perfect, Chicken medium curry had a kick better and stronger than some Madras ive eaten in the past. Nothing was too much trouble, as we found out when the chef did us a special keema rice to accompany our curries. Couldnt ask for any more from the staff ..... fabulous. Very good value for money when considering that all of it was edible and plentiful, and a lot of competition for trade in Argassi. If you like a curry or a chinese, this place is a MUST !

After reading all the comments, most of them bad, we just had to see for ourselves. Were approached by a dwarf-like character who were harassing ourselves and other people to go in. If the food was as good as it should be, you wouldnt need to be tempted in by these tactics. After hearing several reports from people who fell for these tactics, im glad that we were not fooled and never bothered to sample it. Our stomachs got off very lightly.
After being severly bitten by mosquito's, even after using mozzie repellant, anti mozzie candles etc, i had a total of 24 different bites on my body, the wife was in second place with about 14 bites, we decided to take advice from the chemist. Was given antibiotic and anti inflamatory cream ( Fusiden ). Noticable results after 24 hours. This cream is a must if anybody does get bitten, dont be shy, seek advice from the chemist, he is excellent.
Thank u very much for helping our stay in Argassi very pleasant, when after being bitten so much, it could have been a disaster.
The outbound flight was very good, apart from the in-flight meal which was very poor, the seats were very uncomfortable, little space, and bordering on the lines of claustrophobic conditions. On arrival at the airport, was a little shocked on how under developed the terminal was. Only 1 carousel for luggage which proved to be a pain when more than 1 flight came in at the same time. Coach transfer was very good and Wayne the rep was very informative. Accomodation was an apartment in Dora Apartments, Argassi. On arrival, Dora, Panos, Demetri, and Tassia were very helpful and welcoming.
Claire our First Choice rep, did a very good informal welcome meeting. She was always available if and when needed if a problem arose. Saw her several times at the complex during our week stay. Very professional attitude, excellent personality, 100 % suited to the job, but most of all very friendly approach to the holidaymakers.
Coach transfer back to the airport was late on pick up, which meant a long wait outside for check in. The terminal building was overcrowded as there were several flights due out at relatively the same time. Same problems on the inward flight as the outward, plus the added inconvenience of being separated. We find this disgusting as we were not charged to sit together from Manchester, but was expected to pay for this privelige, from Zante. As this was the end of our 1st wedding anniversary, we were disappointed to say the least.
We were looking forward to booking a family holiday package, but after the experience and disappointment with First Choice, we will not not be booking with First Choice or any sister companies.
Arrived at Dora's and met by Dora herself. Very welcoming and helpful, especially considering we paid for a fan and safety deposit box, which we had to ask twice to obtain the fan, and took 3 times to get the correct key for the box. Panos ( Dora's husband ) was friendly, always seemed to be doing the general maintenance. Demetri who is the son and also in charge of the bar was a smashing bloke, very friendly, and not a bad DJ, who enjoyed his music. Tassia the cook/bar person was friendly, hard working and a reasonable chef. Jo who is Demetri's wife, is a little bit snobbish. Obviously not used to people enjoying themselves and having a giggle whilst having a drink at the bar area. It was different for her when they were joined by some friends, as the music volume increased until the early hours. The apartment 1 is on the ground floor overlooking the pool, basic but clean, with very limited self catering facilities. The pool was nice and spacious, no ball games were allowed, and closed at 6pm unless u was Greek. No drinks served at the bar after 1am, at which time they expected the atmosphere to change from a happy poolside bar to a mortuary within minutes. If you require or would like a drink after 1am, the town bars were still open. There was a bbq on the Friday night which cost 15 Euro's per adult, 7.50 Euro's per child. We didnt attend as we dont eat bbq'd food and we didnt like what was on the menu. Thats when the most of the friendliness stopped. Demetri and Tassia was ok, but Dora and Panos were off hand after that, speaking very little. The apartments were ok for a couple who wanted a quiet holiday together, but not really a family complex as there isnt a great deal to keep the kids amused. One day we may return to Zante, but will stay in a hotel on the seafront/beach. The Xenos Kamara Beach is a better bet if you have children, as there is plenty to keep them occupied. Had a great time with Steve and Mandy from London, Andrew and Amanda from Matlock, and Tony and Diane from Birmingham, just to mention a few. All in all we had a good time in which we also celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary. Thanks to all who have provided us with happy and fond memories. The Mad Couple from Blackpool.
