Catherine A  (11 October 2005)

We have just come back from Argassi 26th Sept-10th Oct.  We ate at the Big Plate and found it really nice, Hubby really enjoyed his chicken and potatoes best meal all holiday he said.  The kids enjoyed it to.

Mr Nice Guy  or (the Gentle Giant as my two kids called him)outside was lovvvvvvly and such a gentleman too never pressured us and everytime after we had eaten there he greeted us as old friends.

Blue Blue - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Catherine A

It was the second time in Argassi for us and both last time (2yrs ago) and this holiday we ate at Blue Blue.

The food was delicious the scampi is to die for none of the mixed fish in it at all, the spag bol was nice as was the chicken nuggets that my son had.

Would go back again if we went back to Argassi.

Well what can I say about Chill Out.  Ab Fab that is what the kids loved it their pancakes are to die for it was the only place that did a decent mug of Cafe Latte too.

We ate there quite often and Elios what a gent the kids thought he was brill when he kept remembering what they wanted before sitting down Pancakes with sugar and lemon and a mixed slush puppy the kids were in heaven.

Double - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Catherine A

We ate here twice during our 2 week stay and found it really nice, the service was always with a smile and very prompt.

The last holiday we had here we took a photo of our two kids with Peter, so when we went in this holiday we gave him it, he was very honoured and kept showing it off to people.

Peter is part of Argassi, when we were leaving on the coach he was waiting on the steps to wave us off which I thought was really nice of him.

Admiral Hotel - (Accommodation in Argassi)

Catherine A

Just got back from The Admiral Apartments, went for 2 weeks and found it very noisy, but what can you expect when everyone is enjoying themselves good on them.

The one problem we did have was the dogs barking through night, I eventually had enough after two nights of not sleeping due to this one dog a black and white one in the Commodore apartments opposite the pool (dog sat in the corridor leading into the building) so I went to complain and found to my surprise that the dog belonged to the night porter from the Commodore who worked 1am to 8am and just let this animal bark all night I was flabergasted that they let this happen but give the receptionist credit she got it sorted.

There was pleanty of entertainment in the complex but we didn't partake (due to having asthma I couldn't breath properly) as it was to smoky in the bar area which was dissapointing as it looked and sounded as if everyone was enjoying themselves.

The pool area was ok but got a bit rowdy and the kids found it a bit daunting with things getting thrown in while they were playing, so we ended up going to another pool where they were more happier.

The apartment was basic but what do you really want when you are on holiday, the maids were pristine in there attempts to keep everywhere clean - very impressive although I thought they would at least sweep the apartment floor once in a while (never got swept once in two weeks).

All in all we decided if we went back to Argassi we wouldn't stay here again probably try somewhere esle instead.
