We had many meals in our 2 week stay in Argassi and without doubt the food we had at Papillon was the best. Exceptional fillet steak, pork chop and the Lamb Kleftiko was superb as well. I cannot fault the food or the service we received. If you have the time the wait for the Chocolate Souffle is worth the wait. I would recommend it to anyone. There is something on the menu to suit all tastes. My only regret is that I'm not still there!
Like many others, I never ate there because of the attitude of the man at the door. We stayed at the Diana Palace Hotel opposite his restaurant. On our first night he ran across the road to corner a couple into going in. Some nights we went out of other exit from the hotel just to avoid the man. His tactics are counter-productive and put us all off from ever eating there.
We had several meals here lunch and dinner ( at least 5). A very nice setting and the food was very good. Ben on the door is very nice and is not pushy unlike some of the others. Had a variety of dishes and all were very good. Had only one complaint in all our meals and that was dealt with very promptly and with no quibbling. I would definitely go back!
Our family have just returned from two weeks self catering at the Diana Palace and reading the comments before, I think your experience of the hotel depends on which part you stay. I am 25 and shared a two bed apartment with my parents. Our original room was a disappointment, it was situated away from the main hotel block below ground level next to the children's play area. We mentioned our disquiet to reception and our rep. The hotel manager and Georgia arranged for us to be moved. The second room was excellent and made the holiday. I cannot fault the cleanliness of either room or the service we received from reception and the bar. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The hotel is clean well appointed and within easy reach of all the bars, shops, restaurants and the beach!
