Accommodation in Argassi

My Fiance and I stayed here for 10 days in July/Aug 2012 and could not fault the Hotel in any way.

Our room was large and spotless, self catering apt though we where all inclusive but nice to have!
We were near the children's pool used this as a wee bit quieter than the main but that was our preference.
All the staff from Bar to Cleaners were all friendly and could not help out enough, the food was good and the staff always checking that all was ok when dining.
We enjoyed last year so much that we are back again this august as we have never had such a relaxing time away.

cheers

We have just come back from 2 weeks holiday in the Diana Palace, 1st May to the 15th May 2012, we were a group of 16 and were made to feel very welcome, we were the first to arrive for this holiday season so were filmed on arrival.  All the staff were very friendly, the reception staff, Staithos from the pool bar, George, Georgie's wife, Marcus, Dennis (chef), Jodi from the restaurant, Kill Bill from the reception bar, the hotel was clean and tidy, the pool area was also kept very clean & tidy.  The rooms were spacious with maid service daily if you wanted it.  Quite close to the shops, bars & restaurants but not too many were open as it was early in the season.  I had my 50th birthday while there, they made me a cake and set out the table so we could all site together, it was lovely made me feel very special.  Thanks to all at Diana Palace.

Just back from the Diana Palace with my boyfriend, had a fantastic holiday. Would definetley reccomend this hotel to others  The staff are all really friendly especially Ramos & Stathis.. always very chatty. The reception are fairly helpful if you have any complaints etc. The rooms are a bit small which was the only downfall.. we had a double room. The swimming pool is very very deep! So if your not a very strong swimmer then this isn't ideal. The food was ok, I'm a bit fussy but my other half really enjoyed it. The entertainment is quite good they have karaoke on a saturday night, Greek theme night on a Monday which is really good and quiz & bingo night on a wednesday. All in all I had a great holiday and will definetley return at somepoint...

Hey Can Anyone Tell Me About The Diana Palace Please

Because i hav been  to argassi before and tsilivie too but never in the diana palace hotel
so can any1 tell me any information about the hotel

Emma Y          4/10

diana palce is not a suitable family hotel, mainly due to the depth of the childrens pool and additional adult swimmimg pool. in my opinion the childrens pool is a health and saftey risk to children under 8yrs.

my 4 year old who is a water baby could not stand comfortably and walk around the childrens pool due its depth. the area is also isolated and you can not sup**vise your children unless you are in the water at all times with them.

while the hotel is clean, maids wonderful and staff in general exceptionally helpful the chef needs some new recipes! i did not encounter any family who where content with the half board service which was an exceptional addittional cost. i had to pay out every day for my teenagers and toddlers to eat at alterbative establishments, i myself simply ate to survive on salads as the food for a four star hotel was abisomal.

eggs and peas in tomato sauce, boiled potaatoes in tomato sauce- vegatarian option, mexican chicken-sounds wondeful tasted like boiled chicken with chilli powder-need i go on.

seriously please consider an optional hotel if you have children and teenagers.

Stayed at this hotel on a self catering basis.  Air conditioning for two weeks E65, safety deposit E30, which I think is fairly good value.  Rooms were cleaned, what seemed everyday.  All staff very polite and helpful.  Plenty of sunbeds, nice pool. Pleasant setting. Mix of nationalities.  Used the restaurant facilities at the hotel on three separate occasions, very good value, filling, good selection.

Stayed at the Diana Palace hotel half board. Although the room was excellent and was cleaned every day, the food was awful. on more than one occasion food from the previous night was served the next day which was probably reheated. decided to eat out on the last two days of our holiday. the pool area was great with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas and the pool bar person was very friendly and helpful

heard lots of complaints about the self catering apartments

Diana Hotel - looks great in the brochure and yes pool is nice and so are the bar staff, but that is it! Rooms are small and cramped and ageing badly, the fridge door fell off on my 8 year old, fortunately not my younger son! Manager is unhelpful and arrogant they spend more time looking after the outside of the hotel rather than the apartments. And the stench that was created outside by the bin bags that were stacked for 2 days was revolting, would never recommend anyone to stay here and I have been to this resort many times and tried out different hotels on each stay. Its rated in the Airtours brochure as a 3*+ I would not even rate it as a 1*.

excellent hotel, didnt expect such a high standard! cleaning staff were there everyday, sheets were changed every 3rd day! bathroom cleaned everyday and they have a cleaning sup**visor who checks every room every day! absolutely spotless. i was near back road in argassi didnt experience any unexpected noise, just the usual but not enough to keep me awake.cooker, kettle, micro, fridge, hairdryer, shampoo, showercap and cotton buds supplied!!!!!!

staff were excellent, especially the bar staff. food was great and the setting around the pool was lovely and relaxing. night staff look after you very well, there was a group of young boys who were a bit noisy and the night shift were right down and told them to quieten down! ideal location and great fun for all ages. i felt my family (2 kids 5+2 yrs) were very safe, there is security cameras all around the complex. the main building were the bar is, is quite fancy and doesnt look as though it would be nice for a wee drink but surprisingly it is, there is a pool table and ps2 and a small but adequate library for your use.
overall, fantastic hotel with a high standard of funishings and staffing, they couldnt do enough for you.
many thanks for a great holiday and i will definitely return.

Stayed for 7 nights August 2nd 2007 in Room 604, they consider this a 2 bedroom apartment (which we paid for ) this is actually 2 bedrooms with a cooker, and a table for 2. The rooms are rundown, the bathroom is in a very poor condition. On informing the reception staff of this they pretend not to understand and became extremely unhelpful and rude. The rep listened to everything and agreed but they were just as rude and unhelpful to her. At every opportunity they want to charge you for basics (ie) Safe, air com, fridge.

The swimming pool is to small for the amount of guests and very dangerous as there is no indication of the depth of the water. This is not a 4 star Hotel, all the main staff were rude and ignorant with the exception of Sakithos who was in charge of the poolside bar.

Do not stay at the front of the hotel because of the noise from nightclubs outside your room until 4am.

Worst place we have ever stayed in and travel abroad frequently,

Stay elsewhere would not recommend this accomodation

I know alot of people have put a poor rating on this hotel but i disagree. I have met alot of people on their holidays and absolutely loved diana palace hotel. The rooms get cleaned everyday clean sheets and towels. The night reception are always helpful. The swimming pool well all of them are the same in Greece or where ever you go. The food is good. You have a laugh with the snack bar staff and the night bar tender. What more can i say i do like the hotel very much and the staff are so nice and friendly so i am not going to complain.

we have just returned home, and stayed at the dianna palace in  room 410. it was clean, staff were good, but there was a few probelms with the room. the sink was leaking, the shower curtain kept falling off, and one of the bedside lights kept tripping the electic off. the walls were paper thin, the bath mat apeared one day and vanished the next, toilet roll was scars. the swimming pool wasnt child friendly, and went from 3 feet to 6 feet in about 6 feet.i would think twice about booking the same hotel again

Angela B

Stayed here on he 15th October for 1 week, we have stayed in argassi several times before but this was the worst studios we have stayed in

We stayed in room 510, just behind the Prince of Asia so no problems with the noise from the Factory but the maids!!!!! every morning between 8 & 9am screaming & shouting to each other over the gap at the back. We found the rooms adequate,  they were what i would call rough round the edges & you couldn't get more than 1 person on the balcony
I have to aggree with the pool noise, although the guy on the snack bar was very jolly & sang along to everything...the volume was far too loud.
We shall stick to what we know in future & stay at Katerina, Windmill Bay or Xenos - superior by far

Not saying much as cant find much if anything good to say.

Better bits were it's location and staff been freindly.

Room was basic even by self catering standards, we got 3 plates, 2 cups, 1 glass, 3 forks, 2 knifes, 3 spoons and a microwave and fridge.

Air con is a con, we did not have it as is was 65 euros

Rooms are clean and spacious however we had mucky towels 4 times and once we got bedding with blood on it. rooms are cleaned around every 2-3 days

The pool is over crowded and music loud at times so forget your own MP3 because you cants here it, the pool is always over filled with clorine as it's still there lunch time day after from 7pm night before.

There is nothing for kids to do here as only one english tv channel which is sky news, pool table is 2 euros and play station games went walkies mid season.play ground looks bit unsafe.

They do have internet if needed and is cheapst in argassi as we found.

We did get wildlife in room and this was down to the inch or so gap at bottom of front door, also we had to put toilet roll tubes in door frame at night as door rattles in wind.

We got room 526 which has a very large steel heating flu tower running up the wall which is connected to the heating room for the hotel, this kicks in around 4am and 7am so be prepared to be woken up. also the flu runs up passed room 508 and 516

Overall 4-10.
it's graded 4 stars by most tour companies, i would say it's 2 or maybe 3 stars ata a push.

won't be staying here again.

Stayed at the diana palace from the 28th sep-5oct 2006 the hotel was exellent really clean the pool area was nice and staff very friendly. The hotel is situated in a great place with plenty of shops, bars and places to eat.If i return back to argassi i would defintley stay back at the diana palace.

Martin J

We stayed in the main hotel on a half board basis for a week 25th September to 2nd October.

On the plus side the staff were very friendly, the food was good although the menu lacked choice, there was no fresh milk (due to it being near the end of season?). The room was cleaned daily, no complaints with the service at all.

On the down side the pool area was over crowded and noisy, bar music far too loud for my liking. You pay extra for the use of the fridge and air conditioning.

Overall, looking at the other comments, the mix of self catering and hotel does not work as well as one or the other would. The hotel is in the centre of town so you should expect some noise.

Kris E

Our family have just returned from two weeks self catering at the Diana Palace and reading the comments before, I think your experience of the hotel depends on which part you stay. I am 25 and shared a two bed apartment with my parents. Our original room was a disappointment, it was situated away from the main hotel block below ground level next to the children's play area. We mentioned our disquiet to reception and our rep. The hotel manager and Georgia arranged for us to be moved. The second room was excellent and made the holiday. I cannot fault the cleanliness of either room or the service we received from reception and the bar. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The hotel is clean well appointed and within easy reach of all the bars, shops, restaurants and the beach!

We did not suffer from noise problems and would gladly stay there again. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Argassi and will be back. Many thanks for all the great memories!

Jon H

P.S Please feel free to email me at any time andI'll send you some photos, my e mail is jonm4sherman@yahoo.com  Please don't go there and waste your hard earned cash like we did !

hello all,

i stayed here for one night in august before being moved to alikanas after complaining. please, please, please don't make the same mistake we did and give this place a miss. i am 40 with a wife and three year old child, and it was just impossible to stay there, we were given a studio apartment which was actually outside the main hotel and right next to the main road, above a chinese reataurant, adjacent to a greek restaurant and next to a bar on the other side, the noise from the road, the music in these places, arguments in the street etc., was truly horrendous and went on all night. when we challenged the rep, his comment was - oh they usually shut the music off at around one am - yes mate, but 3 year olds go to bed a bit before that !! another couple with 2 daughters were also complaining about room 101 in the main hotel. the childs play area is a joke and the childs pool impossible to sup**vise unless you perch awkwardly on the edge or spent the whole time in it. the whole resort from our point of view was very poor, with an awful beach and a modern really awful main drag with people trying to pull you into every shop and restaurant you passed. please give the hotel and indeed argassi itself a miss

Peter Y

Great hotel freindly staff, clean and very close to everything. make sure you eat at the pool bar as the food is good and has the freindliest staff especially the barmen who remembers everybody's name straight away. All in all a great choice

My boyfriend and i have just come back from the Diana Palace Hotel where we stayed in one of their apartments.  We had clean towels and are beds changed and made everyday. The staff were very helpful , friendly and attentive to your every need. A perfect position for everyting you need. The best restaurant was the Prince of Asia which is next to the hotel where we ate 3 time in and had several takeways. This was simply the best Chinese and Indian food i have every tasted and all cooked fresh. Definately well worth a visit even if it to talk to the staff as they were lovely and treated me and my boyfriend like kings.

Andrea S

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment from 18th May to 1st June (3 adults and one child, age 7).  Accomodation was very spacious although the apartment did only consist of two rooms, both with two single beds, and a bathroom - the kitchen was in one of the "bedrooms", and wardrobe space was at a premium.  Air condition was 35 euro's per week but we did have a microwave (never used), toaster and kettle included in the room.  The apartment was cleaned every day.  The double glazed doors on the balconies did keep exterior noise to a minimum.  Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.  We would definately recommend.
