Adriana Apartments

We stayed at the Adriana Apartments  last month - May.  Our studio was on the first floor with a lovely sea view.  We had plenty of space and the usual cooking facilities.  We booked via Direct Greece but although the brochure states a mini oven - there is only the usual hot plate.  The first week there was very little hot water but throughout our stay we had plenty of clean towels and the bedding was changed at least 3 times a week.

Tavernas - Try the Vasilikos Garden  just a short walk away - the food was so good we ate there every night and worked our way through the menu. Meals were accompanied by complimentary fresh fruit and a glass of ouzo.

Bars - Try the Coffee House  which is the only bar in Vassilikos.  Open throughout the day for light snacks and until the early hours.  Yanni's apple pie seemed to be the most popular request from everyone. 

  We three retired ladies have just come back from a week in the Adriana Apartments.  We gave the apartments ten out of ten for position, cleanliness and general area.  Although the beach nearest to the apartments was a bit stony, you only had to walk 100 m. to find glorious sand. 

Adriana studios -  we stayed here for a week, 31st aug - 7th sept.
Although the apartments are basic, the location and balcony view are fantastic.
2 mins walk to a beautiful beach side taverna, and 5 mins walk to the village centre of Vasilikos with  some more excellent tavernas and a couple of small supermarkets and gift shops.
No yobs with football tops, no drunk teenage girls half naked!!! a beautiful quiet place, perfect to relax and enjoy the tranquility. 

We have just returned from Vassilikos having been there for 2 weeks at the beginning of May.  We stayed in the Adriana Studios which were just what we wanted.  Had fantastic views out to sea and the island of Kilini.  The bonus was that they were only a three minute walk from the beach at the most! 

The first week we had the beach and pool bar practically to ourselves and the second week was only slightly busier - I would recommend this time of year to anyone. We are definitely going back to Vassilikos next year but unfortunately not to the Adriana as Direct Greece haven't got the contract for them.  We will be staying at the Katerina Apartments which look just fine.  The Marina Pool Bar was very friendly and Joanna and Yannis were great - Joanna's moussaka was just out of this world!  Not many restaurants were open when we were there but once the Ionian Beach Restaurant opened, we gave it a try and it was lovely.  We also frequented The Coffee House on the main road - Yanni and his family were very welcoming.  We met some wonderful people whilst we were there, they all know who they are!If anyone out there wants a holiday that's peaceful and quiet away from the stresses of work - this is the place to go to

 Going out to Zante (with Direct Greece) for the first time, and on my own, I didn't quite know what to expect.....

I arrived on Easter Sunday (1 May 2005) and upon arrival at my studio apartment (see left) and after opening my window to admire the view of the Ionian and Kefalonia in the distance, I knew I had come to the right place!! 

Being the beginning of the season and Easter weekend, not everything was open and Vasillikos was very quiet - but that was exactly what I had been looking for when I booked this holiday, peace and quiet, relaxation, stunning scenery and hopefully, a little sunshine. As my two weeks wore on more and more was opening up and Vasillikos was beginning to bustle just enough to keep it quaint and traditional, a far cry from Laganas or Argassi......

It was hard to tear myself away when it was time for me to go home. 

We stayed in Vasilikos august04 at the Olga studios,going back this year to the Adriana,you can really chill out here everybody is helpful and polite,beaches are good and there are several places to eat.We are sorry to hear that the reps have changed because they were brilliant.The hardest thing about this holiday is relaxing enough to enjoy it.

This is a fairly large building about 50 metres from the beach.Our(2 adults,4 kids) accomodation took up the entire middle floor with a balcony all the way round the building. It has 3 good sized double bedrooms and a huge kithchen/lounge.It is within easy walking distance of taverna's and there is a good pool about 200 metres away.
As we weren't at ground level got the benefit of any cool breeze around.
