Yria Cafe Bar

We have had another wonderful holiday in Zakynthos with Vassilis & Yria Bar being an important part of it yet again, not only did we enjoy our time there, he made my son & his family welcome too on their first visit, they felt part of the family.

another excellent holiday thanks to vassilis and his lovely family and staff.

What can I say? Perfection cannot be improved upon! Yet again 10/10 for Vassillis, his food is excellent, the best crepes i have had in Zakynthos, his beer is chilled to perfection, and his bar is a lovely place to spend an hour or two watching the world go by.

Sun, Sea and Sand what more could you what? An extremely good bar thats what! One that does excellent food, has fab music and a brilliant range of drinks to sample! Well you will find it all at the Yria Bar in Alykes!  Vassilis is an excellent host who always makes you feel welcome with his charm and good humour.  So don't waste any time and go to the Yria Bar the best place in Zakynthos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yria Cocktail Bars funny, friendly and welcoming host Vassilis will keep you entertained all day and all night! With his fabulous cocktails, food, music and of course his charm and sense of humour!

One not to miss on your visit to Alykes, as this bar and its host truely makes your holiday the best you will ever have!  And you will end up returning here year after year as I do!!!!

Great place to go for a gorgeous breakfast or exotic snack. Be entertained by the worldly-wise Vassilis, but beware of his wicked dry sense of humour. If he has time he will regale you with tales of his exploits watching his beloved Olympiakos. Enjoyed his company so much that we are even going to stay in the apartments above the Yria Cafe. Expect a warm welcome from his lovely mum.

yria is a fab and fun place to eat drink and get very merry, the host vassilis is a very funny chap, he made my  family and i very welcome..the internet is great for the kids to get them out of your hair while you eat and drink... his parents are a lovely addition to the place and will often pop out for a chat... no doubt i will be back for more of your crepes , which i must say are the best!!!

 visited this resort many times over the years and not found a better bar or host,it has a great atmosphere,great company,great music and a great selection of drinks,the bar is spotless as are the rooms above the bar which we have stayed in quite a few times,met some nice people over the years, met up with a few again last year .people return to this resort and especially this bar year after year so that in itself tells a story,go visit you will not be disapointed ,hello vassilis,dimitria and dennis we look forward to seeing you all again this year it really does make our holiday.

One of my fav bars on the island, and vassilli is a great bloke as well. Always having a laugh (watch out if he offers you a shot though once you've had a few.... he gave me water once .

It's my 1st stop when i get out over there every time and can't wait to get back again although don't know if will this year cause of a new baby. But hope to get back soon. And hope you've found the muppet song for next time i'm in the bar Vassilli

Hi vassilli, had another fab time staying with you this year, the rooms as always are spotless and well looked after, your breakfasts are brilliant they have to be the best in alykes and anyone visiting should give your place a try as if they dont they are missing out.......great entertainment from vassilli...drinks are fab although watch out for how much rum he puts in your cocktails as you may find yourself crawling back to your roomSee you in june vassilli for more rum and biscuits. terry

we had a blast at yria cocktail bar, yet again ....... it is by far the best bar in alykes,vasilli is completley mad and never fails to keep you entertained and amused. the food is always spot on,try his crepes...... and his full english is brilliant when you go there keep a look out for his famous toga nights,all you need is your sheets of your bed and a stomach for his shots, you will have a riot.this is def a bar to check out when you visit alykes,and i promise you it is one you will  return to again and again. kat x

hello, me and my friend stayed in alykes in july 2006 and the best bar there is yria, it has everything you want including great music for everyone and a brilliant barman serving the best cocktails ever! we went to the bar everynight and were greeted by friendly staff and a great atmosphere and it even has the internet! if you go to alykes make sure you go to this bar for the best time! xxx

well..what can i say! Vasilis..you are still my Best Friend and always will be, even if you bully me! One of the best bars in Alykes and we've had many a good night here with lots of good memories to look back on. Vasilis is great behind the bar and can't do enough for you..even giving me and my friend some of his juicy fruits haha (no really..it was a really nice apple!) I also taught him how to put photos onto a disk..remember that Vasilis, i am a genius! Seriously though, if you have the chance then definately take a visit to the Yria cafe, its a great place, the drinks are great and the atmosphere is top class. If you don't get the chance then...MAKE TIME!..your missing out on a great bar! Thanks for the laughs again this year Vasilis, see you soon Katie xx

A message to anyone Visiting Alykes,, The Yria bar is a MUST. The atmosphere is second to none.

We have been visiting Zakynthos for 4 Years and its the first thing we do when we arrive.The bar is run by Vasillis who has the best sense of humour and serves the best Draught Mythos and John Smiths on the Island, and you get free shots aplenty . From the very first time we went in to the Yria, we were treated like old friends and we always leave with new friends. This is one bar that you go home with the best of memories of your stay.

I have been to Alykes many times and am yet to find a bar as good as this. It is friendly and family run, with a certain ambience, offering a wide selection of snacks, the crepes being the best on the island. The draught Mythos served in chilled glasses is superb, as are the free shots Vassilis readily pours at night. Vassilis is simply the best, he has quick thinking humour, wit and sarcasm, and loves a banter. Give this bar a try you wont be disappointed, it makes a refreshing change from all the English themed bars in the resort.

Be sure to visit Yria Cafe on your next visit to Alykes. You won't be disappointed! It is the best kept secret in Alykes, with the finest draught Mythos & excellent cocktails. Also great home made food - especially the crepes! Yria is run by Vassilis & his family, who are very friendly & always on hand to make sure that you have a good time. There are also rooms to rent, which are the cleanest that you will find anywhere, with great views. Looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Yet again Vasslilis went out of his way to please us, he has a wicked, dry sense of humour, he loves a banter, has more than a little wit, and is a very nice guy!

A nice relaxed and freindly atmosphere. Vasilli is a great host along with his mother and father, a warm welcome is given to all, hope to be back next year.

Yria Cafe is, without a doubt, the best bar in Alykes.    Excellent food and service, spotlessly clean and we would highly recommend staying in the studios above the bar (very handy after a few mythos or cocktails!!)

the food here is lovely , baguettes huge , so ar the jacket potato`s all washed down with and ice cold mythos , lovely, nice and relaxing for an evening drink or two

been many times sad to see kat leave and get marrid still we have good old vassillis and great water fights be back in sept . macc lad

Looking forward to staying at the Yria again in August, and the ice cold Mythos, def. the best in Alykes, I'can't really add anything to all the good comments and praise except to say you all have good taste. To anyone heading over there this summer visiting the Yria is a MUST either for breakfast, lunch and/or a few drinks in the evening (the cocktails are the best quality in Alykes), you will enjoy the experience. We will be there from the 11th for 2 weeks so, hope to see you there.

   The Yria does the best breakfast in Alykes and we just love Vassilli's dry sense of humour. Cant wait for September to get our yearly 'fix', and I still think you look just like my son in law! Looking forward to seeing you, love from Helen and Richard (Huddersfield) x 

looking forward to going back to alykes later in the year and staying at the yria it will be great to see vassilis and his family again,we have stayed here many times and over the years introduced quite a few people to the bar and rooms,this bar is the best in alykes and cannot be faulted,this bar seems to attract likeminded people and the atmosphere is great,we have met some nice people over the years and keep in touch,people keep coming back year after year to testify how good it is,great company,great music,great food and drink,spotless , the rooms are great too,cant wait for the ice cold mythos.  

Can't realy add to all the praise this place gets but it deserves every word of it, Vassils, the bar and his family make a holiday into an unforgetable experience, if you don't visit this place during your stay in Alykes and go back again and again, see a doctor. the apartments upstairs being air conditioned are supherb, as everyone else has said clean, quiet etc. etc. and the showers work !.See you again in 2005.

we first tried the Yria in may 98, newly opened. liked it then and have been going back at least once a year ever since, so he must be doing something right. the bar is great, cocktails the best and the mythos coldest on the island. vassilis is a great barman and host, with that little bit extra. we will be there again in may 2005 and are looking forward to seeing, not only vassilis and his family but also many friends who like us return to a favorite watering hole each year.

myself and my wife jojo found the yria bar to be the best and most friendly place in the whole of alykes. vassilis makes you feel so welcome and he has the best sense of humour going. the place itself is spotless and the food is excellent along with the bears and the music. we were fortunate enough to have stayed in one of his apartments and it was outstanding. it was spacious clean and very comfortable with its air conditioning. the private beach is wonderfull for relaxing in the peace and quite of the sea front. all in all we recommend this bar very highly. and vassilis is one person you must go and see there is no one freindlier

The Yria is a great bar, whether you want a drink, a snack or even surf the internet. On top of that you get Vassilis who willkeep you entertained during your visit with his mad sense of humour, he's briliant. If you are looking for somewhere to stay then why not try the self catering rooms above the bar. I have stayed in them myself, and would recommend them to anybody. They are clean, spacious and all have a balcony which is great to just sit out on and watch the world go by. And to top it all, the Yria even has its own sunbeds for hire on a beach which is only two minutes away. All in all a great place to stay.

The Internet Cafe of Alikes! It has a good local feel and Vassilis (Owner/bartender) makes everyone feel very welcome. He has a great sense of humour, even if sometimes dry, but very witty!
I would recommend Yria for somewhere to chill-out. Stay long enough and Vassilis may even treat you to one of his legendary "Mai Tai" drinks. You can always tease him with stories of Scuba Diving, as he is unable to go as often as he wishes.

Just returned from yet another visit to Zante. Yria still the best place to go in Alikes for excellent draught Mythos, and wonderful snacks, the homemade coleslaw is a must! Vassilis still has his excellent dry sense of humour, and is as charming as ever! A nice place to unwind with good company, drinks and food!

RETURNING TO ALYKES NEXT WEEK,THIS IS OUR SIXTH STAY AT THE YRIA AND WE ARE SURE TO HAVE A GREAT TIME,LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING VASSILIS AND KATIA AND HAVING LATE NIGHTS DRINKING MYTHOS,LISTENING TO GREAT TUNES,EATING GOOD FOOD AND MEETING NICE PEOPLE.THIS IS THE BEST BAR IN ALYKES BY SOME DISTANCE.PAY IT A VISIT YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID.

this is by far the best most friendliest and most entertaining bar/cafe in the whole of alykes. both vassilis and kat made our holiday with there freindship and there laughter. we will miss them so much and cant wait to get back next year. if anyone goes to alykes then yria cafe bar is the one place you have to visit. the food is superb we ate there most nights and the drinks are great too. they cater for all your needs and will always take the time to come and say hi.keep up the fantastic work guys you are brilliant.

Stayed in apartments above yria cocktail bar,rooms were spot on,bar excellent,food,music they even have internet access,cocktails are great try the SEX ON THE BEACH followed by a MULTIPLE ORGASM!!!!

just returned from our third visit to Zakynthos, the Yria still takes some beating! Wonderfully cold Mythos in iced glasses the best in Alykes. The cheeseburgers with homemade coleslaw simply the best. Vas and Kat still very friendly and have always got time for a chat.Maybe we will be back!

Here we are having a great time at Yria Cafe (again). Everything is just as good as always, including the Toga Party, at which a good time was had by all...! Still the best bar/cafe in Alykes by a long way. Make sure that it's at the top of your list when you're going for a night out. Vassilis, Kat and everyone there will make sure that you have a great time. You won't be disappointed...!

Just returned from 8 months in Alykes had a great time especially in the YRIA COCKTAIL BAR the owner Vassili is the best,he definitly makes the best Breakfast&CREPES in town his cocktails arent to bad either,but his bar maid Kat beats him at that AND at pulling the old mythos "pass me the spoon katia" oh and she does wicked beans and egg on toast to!!!!! Great atmospere,you will have a good time if you pay a visit to Vassili & Kat.

Returned home from our second visit of the year to Alykes last week, and once again we spent every night in Yria Bar. Pleased to say that Yria Bar is still doing its own thing, and not trying to be like any of the other bars in Alykes. Still great Mythos, great cocktails (the 3D is now perfected!), great breakfasts (try the Yria Breakfast) & great atmosphere. Just watch out for Vassilis' jokes...

This place does the best milkshakes in town according to our 11 @ 15 yr old daughters. Cat is very friendly so pay her a visit even if she a 'Red' Liverpudlian and not a 'Blue' one. Internet is 1.50 euros / 15 mins.

Brilliant place has internet cafe which was very cheap great coffees here and a realy relaxing place!
