Metaxa Hotel

Following on from my earlier comment about the refurbishment. Hotel Metaxas website in currently under construction, but the home page does have some pictures taken since the work was done. Can't wait to get back in a couple of weeks time.

we have been to the Metaxa about 6 times now, it's like going home. everyone is so friendly. we will see u all again in september.

This hotel has been fully refurbished over the winter.
All furniture in the rooms has been replaced for a much brighter look.
Air con is now included in all rooms.
New lounge space has been added onto the old lounge.
New bar, poolside terrace has built.
We have been to this hotel for the last 3 years and can't wait to go back in August to see all the changes. Sadly Coco the parrot won't be there this year. See you soon Stellios

First visit to Greece. We got to the Metaxa. Really enjoyed it. The highlight of the week was the Tuesday night barbecue was excellent. We had a kiss from Cocoa. The smallest Hotel we have stayed at and the friendliest.

Just got back from our stay at Hotel Metaxa, which was excellent. Building work and aircraft noise was barely noticeable. Small but lovely and friendly hotel, ideal for couples, in an excellent location to both Kalamaki and the beach. Had some great days both relaxing by the pool, and visiting the island by coach, boat, and moped. Visit to Smugglers Cove is highly recommended!

Nice location, view currently spoiled slightly by building work, but the noise is now reduced and you can only hear it from the pool area. Breakfast was a big disappointment, one bread roll, butter, jam and a slice of cheese or ham and fruit juice and the smallest cup of tea I have ever seen...but staff are friendly, rooms are clean, and the location on the island is great.

This year will be our fifth year to this hotel and every year had areally good time staff excellent and friendly the hotel is ideally situated for beach. The new apartments being built have spoilt the view and there is some noise but the hotel is still excellent.

the hotel is nice to look at but having stayed at denny,s as well there is no comparison, we spent most of our days at denny,s as it was a nightmare just to get a drink or money changed, did not find very friendly at all, he locks up at 12or one then you cant get your key if you havent took it with you.no kiddie pool if you have got tots.

Metaxa is as lovely as ever, but the building work is just the other side of the lane ! We were in Kalamaki in late May and the building work has really spoilt that quiet corner

We are going to this hotel in late July 2001 and have just received a letter from JMC saying that there is building noise and dust coming from 2 three-storey apartment blocks being built within 50 metres away. We stayed here last year and know the area, has anybody been in the last few weeks and how bad is it? Many Thanks PS really liked the Hotel last year, thats why we are going back this year.

Small but very friendly hotel. B&B only, but it was nice to get to know some of the other guests at breakfast. Stelios the owner is very welcoming, as are his staff. Everywhere is very clean and well maintained. About a 5 minute stroll to the beach. Ladies- be prepared to kiss the parrot goodnight!!! We were there during September 2000 and had a great time.
