Well thanks again Jane and Jenny the barbecue was great, Sunday dinner was even better now that you have made the gravy a bit thicker. I can only say you deserve a better rating than you have been given on this site, In my opinion you deserve 10/10. Keep up the good work and unfortunately we WILL see you again next year.

Excellent Bar and Jane is a real star. James (12) was never off the pool table and William (2) was often to be seen enjoying his holiday beer (sprite) before heading off down mushroom lane in his push chair to go sleep. As for mum and dad.....we just enjoyed the cold beers

I was a rep in alykanas last summer and have many happy memories of jesters bar and Janes lovely food! Glad to see that you are still as mad as ever Jane, am planning on coming over to Zante summer 2005, look forward to seeing you, make sure you have some lasagne!

just got back from a great holiday with my girlfriend karan. we found jesters by accident as we ambled past looking for the beach. once we had tasted the grub and mythos on offer from jane - top bird with a wicked laugh, we were there every day.
sorry for getting you up early jane for brekkys, we were starving.
if theres only one ba\r to go to in the resort - then this is it.

Jane & Co will certainly give you a very warm welcome at Jesters Bar. The Sunday Roast is legendary, not possible in a small kitchen I hear you say, well give it a try! BBQ on Tuesday very good if you are hungry. I am not a fan of curry but June said it was good. Had a breakfast on the last morning cooked by Dennis as Jane was still in bed that was also great. Keo on draft good and if you like La Bumba (Metaxa & Chocolate milk) I am sure Jane will have it (maybe!) Have sent your cd today Jane, love June, Robin & Eloise xxx

Been to Zante five times now and it just keeps getting better! If you visit the 'beautiful' Island then you must try Jaynes curry on Thursday nights, her barbecue nights and her Sunday roast dinner as they are the best in Alykanas. Also, try jaynes appartments. Air con, t.v. and Jaynes naughty but nice laugh! We had another great holiday, thanks a lot Jayne, we will miss you. Hope to see you soon. Love Tracy, Mark, Candice, Shona and Nathan.

the best bar in zante bar none !!! jane is a great host, mean pool player too as i found to my cost!! nice and relaxing, good beer, good company, some great long summers nights, and her sunday lunch is legendary!

Try here for a fab breakfast. Have gone in, hungover, many times over the years. Jane and Denis(the owners) are lovely, friendly people. The barbecue on a Tuesday night is recommended. Quiz, good music, great food and wonderful atmosphere. C U round about 11am on the 12th July folks, and remember Jane, 2 sausages for me please.
P.S. The c'ds you got me are brill. Can sing word for word, just dont know what the heck i'm singing about. Really must learn greek.

b trewilliger - at the last count there were about 15 or so bars in the resort but this changes from one year to the next. You will have no trouble in finding something to suit your tastes.

we are going to alykanas in july and were wondering how many bars were there.my son has asthma and suffers when hes near swimming pools.we are not looking for pool bars.many thx brogan

Dennis thanks for the breakfasts when she was still in bed!!!!!The notice is up in Ikea we are still selling up so watch out for the big blue trailer. Mmmmm! Great breakfast here. The weekly BBQ and quiz night is a must. Loads to eat and a brilliant laugh. Jane is the perfect host and if there's anything you want to know about Zante or Alykanas,just ask her!! I can also reccomend her home-made marmalade,it's so good brought 2 jars home! We've been calling into Jesters since it opened 4 years ago and really enjoy it. Please call in and say 'hello' you'll be made most welcome....!!

We went here every night after our meal & found it to be EXCELLENT.We found Dennis & Jane the most friendliest of hosts always willing to have a chat & a laugh.The BBQ on a Tuesday is a must for 8 euro's & the quiz afterwards is good fun.They also do an excellent breakfast which sets you up for the day.The only sad thing about Dennis is that he supports Olympiakos (very sad). We can't wait to go back next year. Panathinaikos for ever!!!!!!!

Jesters Bar is most definately the best place to go to in Alykanas. Jane and Dennis will make you so welcome that you just won't want to go home! We are heading back in Septmember for one more drink... They serve some of the best cocktails, plenty to choose from (try the 'Jesters' it will certainly put a smile on your face) They have music to suit all tastes and will put on special requests if you ask nicely. I fully recommend their BBQ on a tuesday night, it is a great atmosphere and Jane cooks up a storm, the best feed we had all holiday followed by a fun quiz - outstanding value for money, in fact we went back to following week for more. After some wonderful evenings in Jesters we discovered that they also serve breakfast, and after tasting that BBQ we had to give it a try... We weren't disappointed, the best breakfast on the island without a doubt. Plenty of choice too anything from cereal to a full works fry up - fantastic eggs!

Jane was one of the best epople we met whilst on holiday. She made us feel welcome, she even let us raid the CD collection and choose our own tunes. Jesters appeared to be the only bar with a seperate kids area. I do not have children, but found it nice to be able to go to a bar and not have to put up with other peoples screaming kids. Also has beutiful views from upstairs, particularly stunning during a storm (but not when it starts raining). Breakfast was fantastic, and Denis was persuaded to do us a burger even after they had stopped doing food, but that all hangs on how busy it is at the time and how good you are a twisting peoples arms.
