The Elpida is on the main road into Alikanas just before the Plessas Palace Hotel. With the arrival of the Euro, drinks are a bit more expensive this year, spirits are about 3.5 and I think a bottle of beer is about 2. If you need any further info, please feel free to e-mail me.

In my opinion, one of the best restaurants in Alykes. Probably eaten here about 20 times over the years and never had a bad meal. The prawn and lobster cocktail is a meal in itself.

Good value meals served by a very friendly family. The homemade soup is delicious.

We went there on the recomendation that the breakfast was excellent and cheap. This was the worst breakfast I've ever had, half of it was missing most of it was cold the egg wasn't cooked the only thing that was actually cooked and hot was the tomato. If you think the Neraida breakfasts are good you should try the Mill Bar breakfasts, they are excellent, hot and all of it is cooked and the premises are very, very clean!!!!!

Bike hire is really cheap, unfortunately can't remember how much and yes, Amoudi is walking distance from Alikanas.

b trewilliger - at the last count there were about 15 or so bars in the resort but this changes from one year to the next. You will have no trouble in finding something to suit your tastes.

The weather can be unpredictable in October. For the last two years we have been around 20-22 October, and had glorious weather, although it is quite chilly at night.

Where are these apartments please? I know Alikanas very well but do not recognise them.
