One of the best bars around! Dennis is such a nice guy and Nikos Techila makes the meanest 'Bloody Mary'..wicked!! It's in the centre of Alykanas village and a brill place to sit and relax and watch the world go by! Can also reccommend the 'Exotic Dream'! See you on May 30th guys!!

Just beware, I went a couple of years ago for the first two weeks of October and it rained continuously for 10 days!! We had horrendous thunder storms and flooding. The four days it didn't rain were gorgeous. My motto 'be prepared'!!!!!

We haven't been to this bar yet as it's just been taken over by Sakis. But if his old bar 'The Flame Bar' is anything to go by then the Zanzibar will be excellent!! Good luck Sakis, see you next week!!

I love this beach....and the resort of Alikanas! I've coming here for 11 years and its home from home for me. The beach is ideal for children,and the sea is very shallow and also a great place to get a fab tan! There's some nice places to eat,try the Mill Bar, lovely pasta salad!!! "Yammas"!!

Firstly, we loved Alikanas as we've been comong here for ten years, but MANOS are basically...rubbish!! Been on 2 holidays with them and both times they failed to help my husband and I. Our little girl's buggy was lost on way from the airport to appts,reported it asap,MANOS loaned us a replacement buggy, more like a death trap!!It was held together with coat-hanger wire and twigs!!My daughter was 2 years old,there was no safety harness in it either.She scratched her arm on the wire.We never found our buggy and never received any compensation,even though we contacted MANOS when we arrived home.We sent them photos of the so called buggy they loaned us,but they just weren't interested, neither was the rep at the time!!!!!

Fantastic food and service!! I can definitely reccommend a visit to this restaurant, the food was superb, typical greek cusine,try the local dish of Stifado! The staff are extremly pleasant and helpful, the prices are also very reasonable. There is a children's play area which is very safe. I give this restaurant 10 out of 10!! Just returned from Alikanas yesterday, and spent most of my evenings here drinking in the Zanziba! Brilliant atmosphere, the staff were great, Lucy is a great girl and makes everyone feel really welcome, cheers Lucy! Sakis has done a brilliant job in transforming this place into an excellent bar!!! Well done Sakis, I had a fab time - thanks!

I've just arrived back from Alikanas,my 11th visit in 10 years!! I've been to many Greek islands and this is by far the best! The locals are so friendly and make you feel extremely welcome,by the time you leave you'll have made many best friends! I can't praise this island and resort enough, try it for yourself...!!!

My family and I went to this museum last year and found the whole trip very interesting. We took the trainaki from Alikanas in the early evening and went through Katstari,the views were gorgeous,make sure you take a camera. The museum gave us a very good insight into how life was in Zante many years ago. I'd definitely reccommend this trip!!

Ahhhh!!! Just returned from my annual trip to Alykanas,my holiday wouldn't be complete without my 'Exotic Dream' cocktail in this bar. If you're going to Alykanas you MUST call in here. It's a great place to relax and watch the world go by in the evenings. Dennis the owner is a VERY nice guy and always likes to sit and have a chat with you. Yammas Dennis, see you next year!

Mmmmm! Great breakfast here. The weekly BBQ and quiz night is a must. Loads to eat and a brilliant laugh. Jane is the perfect host and if there's anything you want to know about Zante or Alykanas,just ask her!! I can also reccomend her home-made marmalade,it's so good brought 2 jars home! We've been calling into Jesters since it opened 4 years ago and really enjoy it. Please call in and say 'hello' you'll be made most welcome....!!

I was sorry to read that the previous two people didn't enjoy their visit to this restaurant. We ate here a number of times and the staff were extremely friendly. The food was superb! We also thought the service was very good. I admit, things do seem to take alot longer in Greece, but hey, we're on holiday and in no rush....!!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I've been visiting this taverna for the last 11 years and never once have I had a bad meal. The service has been second to none. My family and I really look forward to eating in the Mantalena, it's such a friendly atomsphere and theres also a childrens playground. Keep up the good work Tassos!!

Kathy the sea is VERY safe. There are no currents and it is shallow for quite some distance. Alikanas beach is ideal for young children and non-swimmers!! Have a good time...I'm sure you will!

Zoe, a taxi will cost between 17 & 20 euros and will take approx 20 - 25 minutes! I'd definitely take a taxi as sometimes the coaches drop off at other resorts which could take an hour!!

This is by far one of the best tavernas in and around Alykanas. The food and sevice is second to none. Definitely 10/10!!

By far the best restaurant in Alikanas village! Excellent food, excellent service and very reasonably priced. Some of you complain about the standard of hygiene...how many of you eat in Indian/Chinese restaurants in England...enough said!!
