Remains the best place to eat in Tsilivi. The rain was bouncing off the street and the thunder clattered above, but we could not have wished to be anywhere else other than here. The chicken fajitas loomed large in my legend and the T Bone Special was eaten with lip smacking gusto. The staff are warm and the food is hot, gastronomic heaven.
Sink into one of the comfy chairs outside, watch the world pass by and be glad that you found it. Charming service and superb cocktails.
Just got back from here....right on the beach, very sandy and safe. It was varied weatherwise, but if it looks stormy......head for the mountains, moody and breathtaking scenery. Good horse carriage rides to Alykes...about 10 euros, but worth it to hear the drivers whistling. Maids in every day, very friendly. Shop on site for essentials. Kettle handle gets VERY hot.
Paradise.....lots of little tikes toys for little tots to tumble through, on safe grass area, whilst parents look on.....glass in hand.Lots of horses clip clopping by outside for little ones to oooh and aaaah at. Obligatory greek cat to chase, and our evening was complete.
Trust the waiter on the door, gently encouraging your interest. And go inside.....you won't be disappointed. A leafy, welcoming garden awaits you.The food won't rock your socks, but the surroundings compensate, for a once in a while sort of place. Dine under the orange trees and marvel at the peacocks.
Well worth the off road driving skills needed to find this beach. Nearly deserted in October....tavernas closed...but still beautiful.
The ultimate sandy chill out spot. Car park empty in October.Take plenty of water.
Spent many a wonderful afternoon on this idyllic beach. It had the lot.....great taverna on beach, rock pools and very, very few people. Roll out that beach mat.
Very long and sandy, bucket and spade territory.Safe swimming and clear water....fish in abundance. Couple of good tavernas on beach.
A peaceful, cool, pine covered forest above the town. The view of the terracotta roof tiles make the trek worth it alone.
Just spent the first two weeks of Oct in Zante. Have been visiting the island for nearly 20 years now......yes, a fan indeed. It was the wettest yet,but it mostly rained at night, so that was ok. Amazing electric storms, magnificent cloud covered mountains, great to see it so different, still warm though........and when the sun did come out, which it did often, the place shone.
Forgot to say that everywhere is covered in wild lilac cyclamens......beautiful.
Wonderful view below....very windy on the edges! Hillside covered in wild herbs galore. A photo opportunity.
Have always found that Tsilivi fulfills my holiday requirements.....beach ok, but we tend to hire a car and explore quiter ones ....then spend the evenings relaxing in Tsilivi. More than enough bars/restaurants/shops to frequent.Pieros to eat, is unbeatable in my opinion.....followed by a cocktail superbly shaken at The Joker bar, just a couple of doors along.
